    Question Music Selection

Really would love a new playlist. I have been playing Triple J Hottest 100 on a loop. Haha.

What kind of music/playlists do you have on when on cam?

My kind of music is no music. I cannot cam with music on. Has to be completely silent.

I have a few favourite dj's who do amazing remixes on Soundcloud. I totally recommend finding stuff like that, not only is it free, the remixes often sound better than the actual original artist. I find amazing stuff from indy artists all the time on Soundcloud and I try to promote them during free chat. It's a great way to keep conversation flowing too and guys who are into music are generally really cool.

8tracks and di.fm are great for background music. be careful though when in pvt, some sites like f4f wont take kindly to licensed music being playing in the stuff they record so just make sure that you turn it down in pvt

I personally enjoy dj sets from boiler room and mixmag. I use Jango ( I love how the ads are just more music from unsigned/ indy artists too) sometimes to create stations for my regulars and will switch over to those in paid chat ( I've had some pretty fun naked Karaoke exclusives lol).

I plug up my cell phone to external speakers (super cheap at Walmart). I have everything from Tupac to Fallout Boy to Ellie Goulding to Elton John to Guns N Roses to 50 cent. Random variety of stuff I like to listen to. It's my room, I like to hear songs I like. I MUST have music. I get mildly freaked out by it being so silent. But then I sleep with the tv on all night too so I'm not one for quiet.

I coughed up the $5 for Pandora pro so I don't get any advertisements. I've got a dozen different channels that I can just one-click depending on the vibe in my room. Even though it's not free and not 100% my type of music I've found it to be the most complimentary to how I run my room. I consider it $5 well spent.

Totally going to look at Jango and Pandora, et al. I do love the idea of unsigned artists being the adverts that is awesome. It's one of the reasons I love triple J as a station because there are no ads and they promote local/unsigned artists all the time. We wouldn't have artists like Vance Joy and Gotye without the support they have had from Triple J!

Thank you everyone for your input.

Back to my one woman camathon, into my eleventh hour today only nine more to go!

Spotify Premium is well worth the monthly fee. Not only can you do playlists, but also radio stations based on your playlist - great for discovering new music, and for keeping yourself entertained. Also second Hyori's vote for Soundcloud - it's got some awesome artists.

I'm still trying to work out how to make my music sound good through the cam mic - it's a shame to slaughter good tunes with tinny sound.

(Classics, of course, sound good even when they're quiet - I get some shows off old Chopin.)

Hyori and Sloths, who do you recommend as DJs on soundcloud? I could use some earcandy
