    Default Shaving forearm hair??

So I was wondering if anyone else shaves their arms, I mean like whole arms? Years ago when I was a newbie I read on here to shave everything from the neck down which lead to me shaving my entire arms, yet in the clubs I'm in...I don't really see that going on and wonder if it's weird that I do it!

My arm hair is pretty thick, not dark... but in the summertime it goes bleach blonde and SO fluffy and silly looking against a tan!

I use my epilator on my forearms, better than shaving. The hair grows back finer looking as it's being pulled from the root.

I do it! Have for years, just part of my daily shaving routine. I like everything to be smooooooth.

I don't - the hair is so sparse there and frankly one less place to 'have' to shave. Plus, I am tired of men dictating that body hair is "un-hygienic" but meanwhile majority of them never remove any of their body hair.

I Nair mine once a month or so. It's fine enough that it's not noticeable, but I feel weird being 100% bare everywhere except for the peach fuzz on my arms. I like to be consistent, I guess.

Exactly. Don't you love it when a man will have a kitten's worth of fluff growing in his armpits, but then gets squeamish and offended if you skip shaving yours for a week? So dumb!

I get waxing or shaving it for the smooth feeling, but otherwise it seems kind of pointless. I used to as a teen but it's not very thick and if a dude has a problem because there's hair on my arms then I don't want to be around them.

I'd never shave my forearms. The farthest I've gone is exfoliating there with a pumice stone, which removes some hair. I really think that unless you have very dark, thick hair there, you don't need to worry about removing it.

If I had super dark, thick hair on my forearms, I'd just pay for a session or two of laser hair removal. When you get a couple of sessions instead of the full six sessions, your hair will still grow back, but it'll be lighter, thinner, and more sparse. So you wouldn't need to spend tons of money to see results.

i personally wouldn't shave it, it comes back prickly..and most of the time the hair there is so fine and blond that you don't need to anyways. if you really must remove it ( you can also bleach it if its dark) i would wax or get it zapped off with a laser

^I agree that laser is probably a good idea in this case or waxing. I wouldn't recommend shaving that area, unless you are naturally fair/sparse (then you wouldn't have to shave often).

I tried shaving/waxing. Both left my skin irritated and bumpy.

I got it laser on them a few years ago. Worked really well.

    I shave it also.
I have really dark and thich hair, no matter what and I prefer my skin to be as smooth as possible.
I've had them wax once and I was irritated after that shaving even if it take a little while longer in my daily routine is more simple

I shave my arms daily or every other day - have for as long as I can remember. I have very dark thick hair everywhere. I'm in the process of laser hair removal for my underarms, bikini area, and legs because those areas are a major headache for me. It's damn near impossible for me to actually get all the hair off those areas without running my skin raw. But the arm hair, while irritating, isn't thick enough for a razor not to be able to handle on a near-daily basis. Works well for me.

I have hairy arms but smooth legs (lol), I've been using an epilator for years and it works well.

I think I tried shaving my arms like, once, back when I was in high school. I just don't bother at this point. But a friend of mine uses hair removal cream on her arms since she has very dark arm hair, paired with very light skin.

I shave mine every few days b/c it's dark and I have very light skin. I've never had it comeback prickly or stubby. I used to bleach it and trim it but shaving is so much easier and nicer to look at. No one notices except my husband b/c he teases me about it.

Just a general FYI - pale skin with dark hair = the ideal laser hair removal candidate. Worth looking into if you can afford it.

I shave mine. It's not super dark but I still like the look of clean hairless arms.

I was on the swim team for years and we shaved our whole body. Now it just feels/looks odd for me to have arm hair so I still shave mine. Old habits die hard!

I've always shaved my arms, long before I was dancing. I just feel weird having body hair, although it's all a super light blonde so I could probably get away without shaving much at all. It's less of the look and more just the feeling.

Another reason why I love SW... I always shave my forearms now whenever I shave my legs and I feel so normal now! There are others like me on here and my husband can kiss his own ass .

I wish I never shaved my arms when i was teenager, if i go a week with out doing it my arms get some super dark hairs and its not pretty. I suggest if you have very light and little arm hair to just let it alone.

I shave mine because my body hair is so dark and the individual pieces of hair are so thick...its not pretty! I think if you have light/thin/average hair you totally don't need to get rid of it though. I've done laser hair removal on other parts of my body and I'm planning on having it don't to my arms too eventually
