    Default Ribcage reduction surgery

Does anyone have any personal experience/know anyone who has had this type of procedure? It seems semi mythological as there is hardly any info on it anywhere!

I know it is considered risky and is not done by many surgeons, but I would like to find out more.

Its not done in the United States. I know someone that had it done. I think that she had it done in the Dominican Republic. Cher had it done.

Yes I think Cher was the first time I heard of it, wasn't sure if it was true or a rumour. Probably true considering she's hardly averse to the odd bit of work!

I've seen one surgeon online who is US based and does it. He has some terrible reviews for other types of surgery though.

^ I've heard it about Pamela anderson. I have no idea anything about the surgery or where it would be done though.

Is it quite commonly done there, or still fairly uncommon?

I'm not sure. I believe Venezuela is the capital of plastic surgery so they must do it there.

^Its absolutely more on the extreme side of surgery as it's removing part of the skeleton. And ribs are there to protect.

There are obviously reasons why it's rare for surgeons in Europe and the US to do it, I was curious to see if anyone would reply saying, "Yeah I've had it done, it's not as bad as it sounds".

The dancer I knew that had it was a good friend of mine we just lost touch. She told me it wasn't bad. And she was happy that she did it.

Ribcage reduction surgery … is that what they are calling it now.

But yeah, if it was an easy/safe/affordable surgery I would probably have it done.
    What about waist training?

Hmm I had no idea this was a thing. I hate how wide my ribcage is and how bulky it makes me look and feel up top. I can't wear certain things like corsets because I can't find one that will fit me right because of my huge ribcage. Also certain styles of dresses are out of the question because I'm so wide uptop from my damn oversized ribcage but tiny legs and ass, lol.

I've actually considered getting breast implants myself just to make myself look more shapely uptop, not because I want bigger boobs but if there is something I can actually do to change it I might really consider it because I hate this.

I think that is what I'm going to try, a while ago I contacted a corset specialist to see what they said about the chances of compressing and reshaping the ribs and the maintenance of that. They were really helpful but I'm not realistically going to be committed enough to do 20 hours a day or whatever, that's why I would love if there was a suitable surgery.

I will probably invest in one of the corsets and see if I can work my way up to 8-12 hours a day, more likely to be the low end of that in all honesty. I would be happy with just 2-3 inches reduction.

If you go to a corset specialist they will measure and fit you properly and a corset will be custom made. That's the best way to get real results I believe.

Oh cool, thanks. I didn't think about trying that but now I will look into it. I really like the look of corsets but just couldn't find any that would fit Now I know I can go to a specialist, perfect
