Anyone enrolled in a grad program or planning to?

I got one masters and throwing around the idea of a MBA. Not sure yet.

I finished my Master's in Psychology 4 years ago. From my personal experience, I wouldn't necessarily recommend any sort of "soft" science Master's unless your current job pays for it, or it can help you advance in your field, with the obvious exception being Education. Kellydancer's MBA suggestion would be a much better route to go, especially if you don't already have something lined up.
Generally you should only get a grad degree if your job or profession requires it. Such as to be a teacher in most states you need a Masters degree in Education. Not in the field that you teach like Math , English or History but that's a different discussion.
I just started my first graduate class unmatriculated. I'm going to take 3 before applying. What program are you interested in?

Me! I'll be applying to DPT programs this time next year.

My brother is a PT and loves it. He's leaving the army soon and already has several offers or may go into business for himself.

Awesome! The "aha" moment for me was after a group of PTs came to my club for a bachelor party. They were all super sweet and nice tippers...but when I was thinking about it the next day I realized it was the only time I had encountered PTs in the strip club. I concluded that it was because they were such a happy group of people that they didn't need topless therapy the way lawyers and engineers do.

That's my ultimate goal as well! I just finished my Bachelor's in Pre-PT and I think I'll take my time applying for any DPT programs. You need so many hours it's like having a full time unpaid job! I'm not in a rush to finish my degrees. Do you have a focus you're interested in? I think I want to do neuro. I know a girl who got hired right after taking her exam and I'm guessing it's because she had a focus in female anatomy PT or something. She also went to USC so I'm guessing that didn't hurt lol.
I'm currently in a Masters program and it's fucking miserable. I just need to get through it and be done with school once and for all. I did hundreds of volunteer hours, took the GRE's, and completed all the prereqs after I finished undergrad to get in. But I'm trying so hard because I know there'll actually be jobs for what I'm going to school for.

PT looks like a happy job. They take the people and make them do exercises and set daily goals during their therapy. I don't really know what they do, but I heard of people who went into that profession and liked it.
I'm keeping my options open, but I already have one in mind. Programs I'm looking at are needed for a job. I have to do some general hard science prereqs. I just have to find a school in my area that won't break my bank to get some of those prereqs done.

Hooray another aspiring stripper-turned-PT! I've been doing volunteer work at a hospital with a few different specializations, so far I've been in the stroke rehab gym and the joint replacement unit and I definitely prefer joint replacement. But it's such a big field I wouldn't want to make a rush decision on what I want to specialize in.

^Ortho is nice. They're usually healthy and you get to see them recover and eventually go home.

I'm not sure if this is common in masters programs, but did you guys need a thesis? Maybe I'm confusing this for PhD. Was there a lot of research involved?
I'm pretty interested in research and was looking at pharmacology or neuroscience. I'm going to start looking next year for some information sessions from some colleges. Researching the job market is a given in whatever I consider.

A thesis is definately required for a PHD, I believe. Some Masters programs require a thesis. But I think mostly literature Masters programs.
