Alot are complaining that they have been found out by someone, or worried about future jobs and honestly it just sounds like you got into camming without considering the risk. So this article should give you an idea of what you are getting into. You are making an adult decision you can't cry after you made it you half to suck it up and move on.

Good read! From the article: “It would be advantageous to use a different name while in adult, and to create a consulting company to work through so that you can camouflage the work that you are doing. Many huge companies in the adult industry already do this for the benefit of their employees.”

Can someone explain what it means to "create a consulting company", or point me to some articles/info to read?

Streamate for example is now ICF technologies on all your checks and bank deposits you get from them.

Cams dot com is melody inc.

Some companies don't go that far in making a completely different name for their business when I got paid from XES CASH their checks spelt sex backwards . if you googled them deep enough you would find all their websites they create.

Really interesting article! I had the assumption that the only people that needed to worry about having "stage names" or pseudonyms in this industry were the performers. I really never thought about other roles in the industry needing to keep it all separate. It's sad that the discrimination against this industry spreads so far.

Many of you know that I do graphic and web design, and I keep my vanilla and adult work and portfolios separate, and operate them under separate names. But I mainly operated them under separate names because I'm also a performer. I think if I wasn't savvy about the industry and had never performed, I may have been open to doing adult design services, but I probably would have operated that side of the business using my real name because I didn't know any better.

Now I wonder how difficult it is to create a "consulting company". Does that require an LLC or just a DBA?

This is where you would contact a Business Accoutant in your area about this.

I know in the past I've registered a business a name (I'm in canada) then depending on how much money the business made then I would decide on being inc. That business didn't go very far. I am hoping my new business name will have more numbers to consider being inc.
