    Default Day Shift

I'm a baby stripper.I’m really struggling and I can’t tell if it’s because I’m working the day shift when the club is empty/the only people are dudes who stare and never buy dances. I spend the first 6 hours panicking about breaking even and by the time it starts to pick up, my shift is over and I’m exhausted. If anyone has experience or advice about the day shift I'd love to hear it. If this thread already exists let me know.

If the club is empty on days, is it possible to switch to night shifts?

At most clubs Ive danced at the only super successful dancers on day shift were those who had steady regulars. I've also danced in clubs where there's a lunch time crowd and you could make decent money on days.

I personally don't like working them. I find they require more talking to boring old guys and a slower hustle. I also find a lot of day time customers to be more demanding and security isn't as tight/the club is empty so extras happened on a more regular basis. Occasionally I'll do a double and use the day shift to practice my hustle with customers who I don't usually encounter at night times.

This is all based on my experience as a fairly new dancer. I'm sure you can find more info if you search "day shift" on the top right side of the forum.

There are quite a few threads on working the day shift on here that might be worth checking out:

    https://www.stripperweb.com/forum/sh...vs-night-shift
If you run a search for "day shift" in post titles in Stripping General and Hustle Hut, you'll get about 30 threads, most of which have something worth browsing through.

The thing is, not all day shifts are created equal. Day shift is good in the downtown clubs in my city because they're surrounded by offices and workers who go on their lunch breaks (or just straight up take the afternoon off) and on their way home from work. The clubs that are farther out are pretty dire during the day because men have to go out of their way to get to the club, and if they have the time to do that, they don't necessarily have the money to spend.

Beyond that, even in a club with a good day shift, a lot of money comes from regulars. Sometimes, newbies can make good money at first when all the club regulars want to check out the fresh meat, but then it dwindles since they're not dancer regulars, if that makes sense. You also have to learn to identify who isn't worth approaching (club regulars usually, once they've had their turn with you aren't going to be good for money money, other dancers' regulars are also often a waste of time) so you're available when an actual potential customer walks through the door. Often good money on day shift comes from cultivating your own regulars, which can take time and requires working the same shifts consistently and letting your customers know that. There are lots of good threads on here about cultivating regulars.

However, if you've done the day shift a few times and it's just dead all around, maybe it's worth working the swing shift (seeing as how it starts to get busy right when you're leaving) or even the night shift at your club. But if other dancers are making money, sometimes it's worth putting in the time to build up your own base of regulars.

Also the dayshift at the club I work is snail pace slow so the hustle like mentioned before is where you have to rely on regulars, you may have to be more aggressive like door hawk / never leave the main floor for breaks / literally power walk to beat the other girls to the available customers, and work on your mindset cause if you are expecting it to be bad you could cause the self fulfilling prophecy.

Also if thing don't pick up for you until say 4pm then why not just come in to work later when there is some action?

Thanks everyone! Today was especially brutal. I think the problem is the sheer lack of customers. But I talked to my manager about working nights and he said it was fine. Maybe I'll have better luck then.

Most likely because the club is empty. During the day shift, most of the customers are regulars IME. The more customers = the more spenders and people you can approach so give night a shot.
