Default Best place to publish or host erotic fiction?

Recently I wrote an erotic fiction novella, plan on writing more, and would like to know if there's a site you ladies would recommend that I host or publish it on.

Ideally, I'd like to direct clients that I have on SM to it, which is only really possible without any backlash from the site if I'm directing them to a site where there's no payment processor or personal information like my e-mail or name.

Also, I'd like to retain all rights to the story for now and make sure it won't be plagiarized by others who can legally take credit for it.

    Is all this possible?

I have a couple of questions about Amazon, in that case

Do you think I could expect any issues from camsites like SM if I direct clients there?

And does Amazon have any terms about what content you can and cannot sell on there?

To clarify what I mean, the novella I have now has some taboo content. It's all taboo, to be honest.

Yes, SM doesn't want you to direct anyone else where for your profit. They will see it as poaching their customers.

My friend sells erotica on Amazon. Ebooks.

I'm not sure how it's been but you could probably look up some subreddits.

Thanks! I didn't know there was an erotic author subreddit, I will definitely be reading a lot today.

Do you know if there's any issues hosting it on one site (let's say... Project Maened) and then self-publishing on a place like Amazon? Or does Amazon retain the rights to your story?

To be honest, Nook Press and Smashwords is better for selling taboo content than Amazon kindle. I received more sales on Nook Press than Amazon kindle. Amazon has problems with fetish erotica after 2013. If you are trying to publish dark erotica like incest or barely legal erotica (18-20 year olds), then Lot's Cave can help you published your work. But you can just published it on Smashwords instead I hope this helps you.

I put mine (non taboo) up on Amazon, Nook Press, and then all the sites that Smashwords will publish to (like itunes etc). It's better to publish directly with Amazon and Nook press instead of using Smashwords to publish to them as you get a better percentage the last I checked.

I publish taboo erotica on amazon with no issues. You just have to make sure you stay with the rules. All characters have to be over 18, no incest, no rape, no beastality. Step incest is fine as long as you keep the blurb clean. I make around 400/monthly there with my erotic stories. Just make sure you have a nice cover and a solid blurb. Price at 2.99 at least. Don't sell yourself short.

PS Your cover and blurb have to be clean on Amazon but your keywords can be totally dirty.

Oh and no butt or sideboob on the cover that will get you tossed in the adult dungeon and you do not want that.

I always thought it was funny that amazon sells VC Andrews (Which is riddled with incest, underage rape, sex with minors). I know its dark drama and not erotica.

Oh VC Andrews. What happened in your life where these are all reoccurring themes in your books? And that your ghost writer feels its necessary to keep those themes alive. Seriously love those books. My favorite.

Yeah Amazon has one set of rules for erotica anod another for the rest of the site. There is a book called fuck to death in horror but one of my erotica covers got rejected for a bare upper back. Not an ass a bare back. Still I can't argue with the dollars. So I follow the rules. That said with the new Kindle Unlimited payout I have started putting my stores on all available sites not just Amazon.

Oh there is also a new site Excitica.com run by Selena Kitt she is a big name in indie erotica. It's just getting started but she accepts taboo stories.

Reviving this old thread - I'm looking to start publishing some erotica and wondering if any of you ladies use the same erotica pen name as your stage name. I do text/PSO and am hoping to use the same name as my pen name. I know a lot of adult platforms wouldn't like me linking to my store for erotica, but it should be fine to use the same name so they can find it through searching, right? Thanks girls.
