I've set up my giftlist but when someone tries to buy something it won't share my address with the seller.
ive googled and it says you have to enable third party address sharing, I cannot find anywhere to do this :/ help!

The buyer might get your address via the seller's invoice/receipt, is this what you want?

Eeek! NO! Do not allow 3rd party sellers to have anything to do with your wishlist. If it can't be purchased straight from Amazon, don't put it on your list! It is VERY likely that the customer will end up with your address, whether he wants it or not. If he does want your address, and they don't give it to him by accident, it's very easy for him to get it if there's a 3rd party seller.
You also need to regularly check your Amazon wish list to make sure that none of your items have automatically been switched to a 3rd party seller. If Amazon runs out of the item, they will automatically change it on your wishlist to a version that's sold by a 3rd party, and that's bad news for you.
Do a search for threads about amazon wishlist safety. There are a few other concerns, but I don't remember what they are off the top of my head. Amazon wishlists aren't always a very secure way to get stuff, and you need to be cautious if you're going to use them.

When you click on the item, it says "Sold by Amazon" or "Fulfilled by Amazon" just a little bit under the product name etc. When it's in yor wishlist, it will clearly say who is selling it under the product name. Have a look now, if you have things added to your list already.
ill check now, thank you
eta: if it says offered by 'topshop' then its 3rd party im guessing

When you're looking at an item, somewhere near the price it says who it's sold by. For example http://www.amazon.com/Tantus-Acute-D...4QAXEP6ER7SMGY See directly below the price, it says "ships from and sold by Amazon." That's what you're looking for.
Now check out this one: http://www.amazon.com/Tantus-Mark-O2...s=tantus+dildo. Under the price it says "Ships from and sold by SellLogic." That is a 3rd party.
There are a lot of things "sold by [random 3rd party] and fulfilled by Amazon," and I honestly don't know about the safety of those items.
The easiest way to set up your list with Amazon only stuff is to only search for Amazon items. When you are shopping for something, look at the sidebar on the left side. Scroll down a bit, and one of the filtering options is "Seller." Check "Amazon.com" and you will only see items sold by Amazon. This significantly reduces your selection, but better safe with a few gifts than unsafe with a huge pile of gifts.

does anyone actually use amazon giftlists? ive typed 'amazon giftlist' into twitter and i cant find a single girl advertising a working giftlist....
eta: i found a working non cam girl one but it was amazon.com
i tried to add something and when i get to checkout it says i can send it to myself or enter a new address.
Cat i hope you dont think im a creepy stalker :p but i found your giftlist and i can see that it does work. I tried to add the exact same item you had at the top of your list but it doesnt work for me still, so it must be an account setting somewhere :/
ok ive sorted it. it doesnt automatically associate your address with the giftlist, you have to manually do that (and uncheck the 3rd party bit haha)
it does still tell people my town though, so would i say i get things sent to a friend or something like that? i pretend im living in a totally different town to where i actually live![]()

Yeah most of us have a wish list. Mine is http://www.amazon.co.uk/registry/wishlist/1VNSYK7R2DKMEI have delivery code too which is much safer as they never share your address, but Amazon is 100 x more popular. To get around the address showing I put 'United Kingdom' in both the first and second lines, England in the 3rd then the full proper address (NOT my home a address mind!) on the very last line. Luckily the postie has always managed to find me so far

ThanksI'm doing a lot of custom vids so if people want props I need a wish list :p

idk if anyone mentioned this, but I'd recommend deliverycode.com. they handle all the orders/shipping so your info is safe and your address (& city for that matter) isn't public or accessible. you can also add things that aren't on amazon![]()

I looked at deliverycode, but was under the impression that they don't deliver to UK without a hefty charge...?
I think I'll just add gift cards to my wish list so then I can buy from any Amazon seller![]()

Sorry for sounding really thick, I am a bit confused as to how this works in the UK!
Sexiesusie, I noticed that you put "United Kingdom" in both lines - does that mean your post code is hidden but they see your city?
I am terrified of accidentally giving out my address and it's what has put me off for over a year, haha. I know Amazon is meant to be the best, but least secure so I am a bit torn! Thanks a lot. x
