Hiiii everyone!
I was wondering how many hours an "average" shift is dancing... I know that you can keep a very flexible schedule and it's all up to you, but I'm still a little unsure.
If I wanted to do it full-time, could I?
Thank you!

If you want to dance full time, you can. Some clubs have a shift requirement i.e. 2 shifts per week minimum and others have a walk in system etc. The amount of hours/shifts you work depends solely on the club's requirements. For example, I am currently required to do 8 hr shifts and at another venue I was doing 10-12 hr shifts.

It will depend on whether your club schedules girls or not. Some clubs will require you to work only certain shifts. Others don't have any rules, just house fees. Common shifts in my area are:
Day shift from 11AM to 7PM
Mid shift from 4PM to 12AM
Night shift from 7PM to 2AM
This doesn't take into account clubs that are open "after hours," like till 5AM. Most places close at 2AM here, since they can't serve alcohol any later. Some girls who work at clubs without schedules will pull doubles as long as it's cool with the manager. (Sometimes if you're hired, for example, by the day shift manager, the night shift manager will want to approve of you working on his shift as well. Many clubs have stricter standards for night shift dancers than day.) So yeah, in many cases, you can work 40+ hours a week, though many girls find it too draining and to have diminishing returns.

This ^^
Because of the upkeep required, the constantly being "on" and some of the crappier moments of the job, I think "full-time" dancing is typically a lot fewer hours than with a regular job. Anything past 25-30 hours for me a week rapidly becomes "i don't care" hours that end up being lower averages. I definitely need some time to decompress after doing a few shifts in a row.
Most clubs around here require a 3 shift minimum, one of which must be a weeknight, and one must be a weekend. Weeks go from Monday-Sunday. Shifts are 8 or 9pm- 230ish depending on the night. Typically you can come in earlier if you wish, and obviously if somebody is buying dances you can stay a little later, but these are the required floor times.

You can but dancing is physically and emotionally draining so as other people mentioned, you need to allow time in your week for self care / shift recovery to maximize your time in the club.

Thank you so much for all of your replies! Hustlehustlehustle, but make sure I take care of myself, too - got it! I lovelovelove this place, you're all so helpful & sweet!

^ This is how the majority of clubs in my area work. Some you can pay extra to pay early while others try to hold you captive for the entire shift you come in for.
Every Vegas club I worked at didn't have set schedules and you can come in whenever (unless a girl is only approved for a certain shift) but had a minimum number of hours you needed to work. From what I remember they were 5-6 hour minimums.
