Default fake tanning and breast implants...

So I have been very into fake tanning for the last few years... I have very, very pale skin, as light as it gets, and I would have to fry myself in a tanning booth to get any kind of tanned look. I have dark hair at the moment and without a tan I look a bit pale/sickly, and I feel like it helps with making me look more toned/thin.

However ever since I got my breasts done, tanning has been impossible. When I was doing spray tanning it was a bit better, but I've had to cancel my membership as I'm trying to cut down on costs.

I can get my legs, my stomach, my arms, my back, everything to look perfect... and then I get to my breasts/chest area and it's a fucking nightmare.

That area is continually splotchy, it seems like with the extreme curves going on with my boobs (I'm a 30F) and my collar bone that the tanning products just don't absorb evenly throughout the skin, and it comes out blotchy. It also seems like my boobs never get tanned, they just stay pale, no matter how much I put on them.

I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions? I previously always use a mousse if I was using self-tanner but now I've tried a lotion to no success, I am hoping using a spray-on product might make a difference?

Oh this happens to me too! I always wondered why I get SO incredibly blotchy on my chest and right between by boobs (my BA was last August). I just have to exfoliate intensely on my chest and my boobs to prevent that. Sometimes I will exfoliate and it will still get blotchy but I think it's because I just didn't exfoliate it hard enough. Also, when I put self tanner on too many days in a row I get blotchy as well. So taking a couple days in between to not put any on and then exfoliating very very well before putting some on should prevent it. I'm not sure how getting implants results in blotchiness from self tanner lol but that has also been my issue and my solution is just a lot of exfoliation. Hopefully that helps you as well! Oh and not sure if it matters but I'm a 32DDD (not as big as yours but still a lot bigger than I used to have).

I bet it has something to do with the way the skin stretches to accommodate the implant. I don't have implants, but I do have a pretty big butt and similarly, the skin there doesn't take a real or fake tan as readily as the rest of my body. To compensate, I layer 2-3x more product there over time. What products are you using to tan, moisturize, and exfoliate and how often are you using them?

Oh! Are you wearing a bra within a few hours after you apply self-tanner? Because that will mess up the area for sure.

^I usually just put a dark nightgown on afterwards for a few hours to let it dry so it doesn't stain my clothes.

I've used a tons of products in the last couple months, St. Tropez, Fake Bake, and Jergens. For moisturising I just use a coconut-oil based lotion. I haven't really been exfoliating beforehand though so I'll try that.

its because the skin is naturally very thin on the chest/neck area and always wears off first and gets blotchy, but the skin is probably stretched a good deal like kaninchen said making it even thinner..plus with the extreme contours it can't get on there evenly very easily. have you tried drying it with a blow dryer on cool before going to sleep or doing whatever you do after applying it?

I always had better luck using a UV tanning bed in 'small doses'. As others have pointed out, the difference in density / thickness of breast skin stretched over implants makes the absorption factor for bottle tanning agents unpredictable.

I also can't wear white usually with that stuff because it just rubs off onto my clothes, and sometimes it's even noticeable when I'm wearing them. Any time you there is contact between sweat and the St Tropez stuff it just rubs off, but even just wearing/sleeping in white it seems to come off.

I'll look into the other product you suggested, I'm thinking that maybe exfoliating/blowdrying and switching to a spray product instead of a lotion/mousse may help.
