Crossfingers I'm thinking of becoming a dancer, but I NEED HELP!!

I have a ton of questions. I first found this site because I had a friend who lived with me who used this site to find new jobs but she moved away.
She totally got me thinking of doing this.
But first off, I don't know how to dance very well, I mean, sure, I can throw off the sexy vibe, but do I really know how to dance other than basically thinking oh, I can drop it low to this part of the song and get this guy to look at me? I'm married, young but married. My husband it a trucker and I have the green light to do this if I please. But I don't even know how to start. I want to be informed first. I want to know what it's like, what it's like to do an audition, what kind of dance I'm supposed to do, and if any one had any pointers, videos, advice on what I should do before hand.

Your best bet is to go in as a customer if you are of age and observe the club. Ask questions and possibly enter an amateur night.
And maybe using the search function. This is the umpteenth thread posted about "How do I start stripping?"

I couldn't dance at all before I started stripping. As in, total white girl, no rhythm, AND a total lack of confidence in my sex appeal. I was pretty sure any attempt to act sexy would backfire as a complete and total fail. So I decided I would sell my personality and rely on that instead. It was a good crutch while I learned the ropes.

Really, you don't need to know anything about dancing to start. Just move slow. The trick is to move slowly if you want to give off the sensual vibe. You don't need to know any pole tricks or any dance moves or even a basic sense of rhythm. Starting out, just focus on transitioning from one sexy pose to another and you'll do great. Really. When I started, I was sure there was more to it, but there's really not. Be confident in your ability to be sexy, move slow, make money. Make eye contact with any customers at the tip rail, and ever better. The rest will come with time and practice. Don't get discouraged if you're having a slow night -- it's a really good opportunity while you're still new to grab a seat and watch the other girls. What are they doing on stage? What do their lap dances look like? Are there any moves you've never seen before, or would've never thought of? Use the time to build your dance move vocabulary so you can expand your own unique style and flavor. Go in as a customer first to get an idea of what the vibe of the club is. Are the girls all curvy? Super skeleton bones skinny? Does everyone do nothing but twerk to rap and hip hop on stage? Is it rock and roll and gowns? You can find a lot of that info online by reading reviews of the club, and stripper web has a lot of info as far as how house fees and tip outs work at the different clubs, but it's still a good idea to go investigate it yourself. Make sure you research the clubs in your area before you go in. Don't take someone's word that so-and-so club is good and go there without looking into it or elsewhere to compare. If nothing else, it can give you a heads up on what to expect when you go in, and what the club expects of you for your audition.

No matter how it goes, have fun, and don't forget to take care of yourself, mentally and emotionally. The money is generally really good, but the job can also be really draining sometimes.

You can find out lots of information via this website, however you are going to learn the most when you're actually inside a strip club. Go in as a customer, perhaps work as a bartender/ waitress until you feel more comfortable. You could always throw yourself in the deep end, get some stripper outfits, shoes and just go to a club. When you are new in a club, best to buddy up with a friendly dancer, and watch what they do. Copy their moves in dances, and get advice from them.

Your best advice is to keep to yourself, learn how to hustle and make MONEY, not buddy up to a "friendly dancer" and "copy them". This is not the damn Girl Scouts! This business is survival of the fittest.

Ime any dancer who will 'buddy up" with a newbie without management demanding them to do so, is not someone you want to learn from.

The girls who are there to party are happy to have another girl in their little club. The hustlers are too busy getting theirs.
