I went to a rhino consult this week, and while I agreed with the surgeon's verbal assessment of my nose and his plan to fix it, he was unable to do facial imaging to show me an idea of my final result. He said it was because frontal imaging is difficult and unreliable, and 99% of what I need/want done is to the front view of the lower 1/3 of my nose. I need only a very small change to my profile, so side imaging wasn't helpful to visualize my final result. I've already decided to not go with this doctor for the rhino, but I'm curious as to whether most doctors don't do frontal imaging? I called the office of the next doctor I'm consulting with, and his receptionist said they absolutely will do frontal imaging. Was the first guy just not competent?
