Since day one I've found customers get a good laugh at my expense asking if my parents are aware of what I do/where I am. A few times I've asked them if their wife knows where they are, but find it doesn't change anything.

Was wondering if you ladies have any responses to put these customers in their place because this question has become old very fast.

I look at them like they're on drugs and say "Do you REALLY want to talk about parents right now? What kind of perv are you?"
"People jack off with the left hand and point with the right."

"You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave."

It's so weird to ask that, I mean do they tell their parents everything?

Sometimes I ask the same thing back "Well do your parents know that you're here in a strip club talking to one of the most extraordinary dancers ever?"

If they act like they're not gonna spend anything on me I'll ask "So I guess your parents know you're here then? Did they give you any money to spend? Did mummy and daddy give you big money to spend on the pretty strippers?" With the voice like I'm talking to a baby.

Or I say "Oh don't worry I'm not underage"

If the dude is a lot older than me I'll throw in an "old man" as well, "Oh don't give yourself a stroke old man I'm not underage, no need to worry"

I wasn't asked this much. You might be better off first examining why men keep asking you this. Do you look really young? Do you come off as naive or inexperienced? Are you bringing up your personal/home life?

If someone's saying it in a shitty way, and it's obvious they'll never buy, I'd probably just do a deadpan delivery of, "My parents died in a car accident when I was 12."

If they're saying it in a genuinely curious or incredulous way, you could either answer with the "truth," whatever you want that to be ("Oh you know parents, they're so overprotective. I don't want them to worry!), or you could try to spin it into a picturing me being spanked naughty flirtation remark.

I love those responses! My parents don't know I dance but I always lie and say yes because I don't feel like going into my personal life. What annoys me is that they ALWAYS reply with "And they're okay with it??". Like no. Just because they may know doesn't mean they approve. >.> But now I'm just ranting lol. Definitely going to try out those responses next time.

I really hate this question and I think that more often than not the guy is trying to make you feel bad and uncomfortable. I always try to make them feel stupid for asking it by being like of course! my mom was a stripper for 20 years! I just joined the family business haha. Guys who ask this are trying to rattle you, so by continuing to be upbeat and unflappable it ruins their fun. I go in for the close right after this though, because in addition to being rude it's kind of a time wastery question
I agree with tuesdaymarie though, if I don't think the guy will spend I often say that both of my parents are dead.

Yeah I never really answer this type of question with a yes or no, I just dodge it.

There are different ways to respond, what works best for you probably depends on your dancer persona.

Personally I do well when I have a very light-hearted attitude, whatever I say and whether I expect to get any money from them or not I keep a happy flirty energy. It doesn't matter if what I'm saying is bordering on rude I deliver it with a sweet and cheeky smile like I'm messing with them. Even if I don't sell them anything someone watching me from across the room for example will see me smiling or laughing (at my own bad jokes probably) and think "that girl is enjoying herself".

Whenever I get asked lame questions about my personal life, I just spit out whatever sarcastic smartass thing I can think of. I always say it really sweetly and warmly, though. It usually elicits a laugh from the customer and I use that as an opportunity to change the subject. Guys who ask stuff like this are either complete idiots, or trying to make you feel insecure/awkward so that they can take advantage of you. Or both. I've said stuff like this:

"Yeah, duh, of course they know! The manager is my dad." *hairflip*

"Yep! *points out a hot milfy dancer* Crystal over there is my mom!"

"Of course!? *deadpan stare* You know your daughter/wife/mom works here on amateur night, right? Is that why you're asking?"
