When my boyfriend and I started out using streamate (both with our solo accounts and our couple's account), we had geoblocking enabled for the state that we live in. When we started out, it actually worked. We didn't show up on searches on the site, both logged off and logged on with a customer account (with an IP from that state. No vpns or proxies).
Back in late June, my geoblocking stopped working for the solo account and couple's account (as well as my boyfriend's solo account). I have since been on streamate's case to get to the bottom of this, but it's going on a month of no functional geoblocking for either me or my boyfriend. Nothing has been resolved yet. Each time I ask for help, I'm told my question will be sent to the tech team and then nothing happens after that. It's getting to the point where I am seriously considering abandoning ship and going over to another camming site if it means their geoblocking actually works.
As convenient as it is to be able to see where my placement is while I am streaming, and I don't feel the need to be geoblocked once I move a few thousand miles away (but that's going to be months from now), being found out before that point would be far too big of a mess for me to be able to deal with and preserve my sanity at the same time.
Between my boyfriend and I, that's three streamate accounts with geoblocking not working. I was wondering if anyone else is having this problem as of lately. If you have, how long did it take streamate to fix the problem? I've been getting on their case for about a month now and geoblocking is still not working.
