Default anyone else think it's weird that dancers always ask if you have a girlfriend

I don't go to the clubs often, maybe once every few months.

Every time I go though there's always at least one girl that asks if I have a girlfriend. I get why dancers ask guys this... they assume it makes me think they are into me or whatever. However, it just seems awkward to me because there's no good answer. If I have a girlfriend it will immediately make me feel like a piece of shit for going to pay a girl for lapdances. If I say no I look like a loser lol. It just seems like a bad line.

Oh please. If you were really THAT concerned abt feeling or being a piece of shit for going to the SC while having a girlfriend, you wouldn't be doing it.

Besides, if you really 'get it' so well (the SC experience itself), why exactly do you care if deep-down, the girl dancing for you thinks you're a loser bc you don't have a girlfriend? Are you paying her to entertain you, or are you paying her for her opinions of you? I am not mocking you (at least not right this second) when I ask this, it's a completely serious question, & it brings me to my nxt point:

Why is it her business?? Your relationship status is yours to reveal as you choose, just as hers is her own. It's none of her business. If the question makes you that uncomfortable, shut it down. It's that simple. I think it's a very foolish question on her part to ask, bc it risks making a customer uncomfortable & potentially affects his inclinations to spend $$$ on her. But I hope that you in turn are showing the same respect for her when it comes to your own questions.

I probably worded it wrong to a degree because i was just venting from tonight since I got annoyed. I mostly meant I just don't understand the psychology behind asking, because it seems to be common every time I go. I don't feel bad if I have a girlfriend, and don't feel like a loser if I don't have one. I was trying to just be more general. It just seems like a dumb question is all I meant.

I don't ask any personal questions to dancers. I honestly want to get a private dance with as little conversation as possible. I am the easiest customer possible. There is no need to sell me on anything, as long as I find you attractive I am giving you money.

Rereading the post I definitively made it seem more personal than I meant. I was trying to talk in general that the motive for asking generally seems like it would lead to those results. The only aspect of the question i care about is the fact that it's annoying that it's so often asked.

They are probably just trying to make small talk but asking the wrong type of questions. A newbie mistake so to speak. Or they could be feeling you out to see if you'd make for good sugardaddy / OTC material. Or worse they could be actually looking for love in the club.

It is a dumb question, similar to the customers asking if dancers have a boyfriend or husband.

I wouldn't worry too much about what different dancers think of you when you respond to that question. In their eyes, at least until they get to know you somewhat, you're probably considered a loser anyhow. Some will view you as a loser for being there because you haven't a girlfriend. Some will view you as a loser for being there despite having a girlfriend regardless of whether she knows. Finally, most of the girls I was friendly with considered the married customers regularly patronizing the club, presumably behind the wife's back, to be the biggest losers of all. The bottom line is they think very little of any customer who they have yet to become acquainted with

Does every dancer really ask you this? What kind of club is this? lol That's such terrible small-talk, but I doubt they're thinking too hard about it. The girls who ask are just awkward, like the guys who ask the same question of the dancers. If you want to shut it down without killing the mood, try something similar to what girls here sometimes use: "Aw, come on, I don't want to talk about other women while you're in my lap." "What an odd question. Does it matter right now?" *cheeky grin* Or something similar. You'll get across the point that you don't want to answer this question but not bring down the mood of your dance.

I've never asked if someone has a girlfriend, I honestly don't care. So I don't think strippers 'always' ask. I agree it's probably a newbie trying to make small talk. But honestly, I never thought higher of customers who had girlfriends or lower of them, the only thing that made me think of lower of them was is they were cheap and rude. So I really wouldn't worry about your answer.

That is a terrible hustle. Mood killer, actually. I've seen girls asking about status before. Dumb.

I get the status question a lot too, but it doesn't really bother me. Honestly, I think some ask this purely to make small talk and others to assess who and what they are dealing with. A few have told me that they prefer married guys as it reduces the likelihood of stupid and/or stalker-ish behavior (true or not I have no idea), but every once in a while I do meet one who gets upset when I respond that I'm married. I've long ago come to accept who and what I am, so I just respond honestly and let the chips fall where they may.

On the flip side, I never ask the question and I don't really care. From what has been volunteered to me over time, I'm guessing that most of these girls have SOs. So be it. How they reconcile whatever they do with me and others with whatever promises or commitments they've made is their business, not mine. All that probing will accomplish is to make some of them feel like shit, which I have no interest in doing.

Although I have never asked a cam model if she is with someone and I never will; nevertheless, I've been asked this by a couple of cam models. Like the OP said, there's no good answer and it's definitely a mood killer.

However, there was one cam model who asked me this and it didn't bother me because: (a) it was after many sessions, and (b) I knew it was just small talk at the end of our private session. This model is super cool so it was completely harmless since we were both chatting it up!

I've been asked this before. Didn't think much about it at the time.

Doesn't matter why she's doing it. I always turn it around into something fun and playful, such as cheekily grin with the response "Awww is that because you want to ask me out?" Obviously that's not the case. It's about how you respond, how she responds, and how we interact sets the mood. It's a two way street.

Just my 0.02. Good luck to the OP and the helpful ladies here.

I somehow doubt that many strippers would find that joke to be very funny.

Why do they ask? Because they're bad at hustling. I only make girlfriend/wife comments when I get annoyed about my personal life being pried into. "What does your boyfriend think about you doing this?" "What does your girlfriend think about you being here?" for example. Otherwise I would never ask, and I don't really get it...sounds like a newbie as the others have said.

I only ask if they're hot with long hair. And even then, no guarantees they'll tell the truth.

Exactly. I only asked that question right after being asked the dreaded boyfriend/husband question. Otherwise, not really my business.

I personally would never ask that question, to me it kills the vibe. We are suppose to be in fantasy land, not thinking about our annoying SO lol

Next time, try to joke around and say "Yeah I have plenty, want to be one of them?" or something sarcastic and then change the subject QUICKLY.

I never ask a dancer if she's married or has a boyfriend, but if I find out they are its a huge turn on, I get off on the fantasy of cockolding they're husband/boyfriend/Wife/Girlfriend.

Idk guys. Honestly, if you're that sensitive to a simple relationship question, then you may have deeper issues to cope with. I'm not trying to be remotely mean here, but IME hypersensitivities are not conducive to a good time in a strip club. IMHO they also make guys vulnerable to certain types of hustles run by some less scrupulous dancers.

IMHO your best bet is just to stop worrying about it. I doubt that they care nearly as much as you do anyway. And as far as feeling like shit for having a gf and being in the club, bear in mind that half of their customers are married and most of the girls that you deal with have SOs as well. For better or for worse, it is what it is. If you cannot interact with a dancer without feeling either like a loser or guilt ridden, then you should probably seek out your entertainment someplace other than in a strip club.
