Default Facebook, Marketing and Your Real Name

I'm looking for information on how to not get my Facebook profile closed because it's in my 'stage name'.

I was going to change it to a page, which would transfer all 1500 of my 'friends', BUT if it's a page, it has to be admin'd by... a real profile, so right back where I started, lol : P

I have a big following on FB that I've been cultivating for over 4 years and really don't want to loose it.. Any thoughts?

I'm thinking I can make several 'fake' profiles and add them each as administrators, so the chances of them all being shut down at the same time would be slim...

On another forum, a guy mentioned getting a message from FB that said "We need your picture id because we don't think you are who you say you are." When he refused to provide his photo ID, his account was locked. They told him "We are a community site and we want you to use YOUR REAL NAME AND LOCATION so all your friends from school, business and today's current friends can easily find you. Your FB ID MUST CLOSELY RESEMBLE YOUR PICTURE ID NAME." And supposedly, they are no longer allowing nicknames (you were able to have a "nickname" for yourself in parentheses underneath your real name). That's interesting, because at one point - when I was feeling silly - I had temporarily given myself the nickname "Cruella DeVil." LOL.

You will want to keep your main page in your name or stage name.

if you end up making a bunch of fake accounts facebook will catch on and ban your accounts.

Facebook barely wants real people using their account and few are able to use their accounts in their stage names and some are not it just how it is there.

I am not sure how FB does it now-you can have a "Like" page--and keep your profile--if you don't want to just transfer your page to a "like" page

FB is getting anal about people using nicknames--and are shutting down profiles until the users comply and change their name or provide ID
In the help section--there is information for creating a "like" page--some are business pages--some FB friend of mine has several like pages mostly either for her business or her boyfriend's business.
It depends on how you want to do it--you are the administrator of any like page you have--you can send invites to your friends to like your page--
the only advantage I can think of is if you do a seperate "like" page you can use a stage name with out problems and be more creative when you are setting it up--
whichever works best--turning your profile into a like page--you already have followers--the friends turn into followers

Oh my, Facebook does NOT convert into sales & hates Porn. Sorry, but this is all mute. Take it down. Fb is a waste of time for promotions & making money on cam. 1500 followers is nothing, even though to you it feels like it, but it isn't. You need to dream bigger like 5000 followers, then 10,000 & up to a million on other social media outlets.

All facebook gets you is men from the middle east & that are blocked by their countries from all cam & porn sites. So even if they have money, they can't spend it on you. begging you for sex. Begging you to post pics that would get you acct closed down. Forget about it. Sorry you can't get those 4 years back, but you can post links to other social media sites on there, if they are true fans they will follow you to those other sites. Honestly, about 5% will follow you off of there, proving even more so how they aren't worth the time & effort.

Go conquer Twitter, instagram, youtube & tumblr in which each of those are a different animal in how to best market yourself on them. Takes time to read up on them & study each one while posting & building up a following.

Time is money. Wasting time on a site those does not convert into sales is pointless. There are many mainstream online tutorials on how to do social media sites to get followers. You need to think 100 or more followers a week, if not daily. I increased the money I make per hour by 10 times with twitter over the past 4 years. Did facebook do that for you? I have a fan page on fb, gotten ZERO sales off of it in the past 2 years. Anyone who ask me online for my fb page I tell them to go fuck themselves, to join my pay site if they want more of me.

    Good Luck,
    Sam

Facebook is EVIL Yes, they want that info. Why? When I talk to others & mention like Honda or any other product, within an hour there are ads for it on my fb book. It isn't only the gov listening to our convos on your mobile phone. Now these are just convo not even on the phone, scary. I purchase hair dye at drugstore, when I get home there are ads for that exact product & story links from huffington post on dying your on hair on my fb page. Everything, we say, do, buy, look at online is being tracked on FB & sold to different companies.

We dont have to worry about big gov cause that is a given, we have to worry about big companies knowing way to much about us.

FB is tracking everything--zuckerberg is a genius somehow--I've noticed all of it after I got a tablet--and the pop up ads--and they are anti-porn--not the best marketing tool.
Twitter might be a better marketing tool--and the blogs--lots or blogger sites for porn content

I can't imagine FB transferring into sales. Use your FB following to convert them to twitter, I guess?
Twitter is amazing. Use your clearly fantastic social media skills to be big on instagram and twitter.
I talk about it a lot but it's because twitter has gotten me SO MANY SALES. When I'm struggling to get on cam for whatever reason, I can count on twitter to supply me with at least 1 skype show.

But tbh I feel like facebook is such a family-ish site...I dunno how many people want Great Aunt Lucy to see them chatting with a camgirl. FB is more trouble than it's worth as an adult entertainer.

I dunno, I just think facebook is too close to my real life for me personally :S It just feels so easy to get something mixed up and I'd worry about the fake profiles, too x-x
