In the past week, I've had my entire life flipped upside down. I had a family member steal about $3K from me that was suppose to be used to pay for a rental for the two of us. I'm pissed about the money obviously (and will be suing the fucker), but the fact of the matter is that I've now been forced to move in with my parents until I can get back on my feet.
Here's my problem: My father is tech savvy. He has mentioned multiple times in the past that he does check the browsing history for the wifi network. They have an idea of what I do, but I don't want them to have web addresses that lead directly to my c4s or CB pages. Asking him to respect my privacy would be laughable at best. I have checked out mobile hotspots, but they live so far out in the boonies that my upload/download speeds are below .25mbps both ways, which i couldn't possibly stream on. I don't have any friends in area that will let me use their internet, due to the fact we all relocated to a completely new area a couple months ago.
Basically my question is whether or not there's a way to block which sites I'm viewing through my personal laptop whilst using their wifi network? I've heard of Tor, but I can't find any info as to whether or not it would actually bar the network administrator (my nosy father) from viewing which websites I use for work through his wifi.
please help! I'm pretty desperate to get back to camming so I can get a house and have some privacy.
