Default What is your favorite Quote?

Mine is "Things may come to those who wait, but only what is leftover by the hustlers? Abraham Lincoln It fires up my ambition every time I think about it or read it.

And then just about any quote from Mae West, which I can answer just about any question on cam or on stripper web with a Mae West quote & have done so in the past. LOL After all she didn't go to Hollywood & do movies until overweight & over 40 to be the highest paid person there before agreeing to film anything. She asked who was the highest paid person in Hollywood, which turned out to be a studio owner. He made $1million, so she asked & got $1 million & $1. LOL

Quotes can inspire us all in so many ways. Which is your fav?

    Smooches,
    Sam

    Go play with your vagina

I am sarcastic and crude humor amuses me in the right audience of course

Mae West, Mae West, Mae West! I can't think of any others atm, but I'm with you Sam. Everything I've ever read of her is pure gold.

    I have a few.

    anything hooks has ever written

"I believe in the brotherhood of all men, but I don't believe in wasting brotherhood on anyone who doesn't want to practice it with me. Brotherhood is a two-way street."

    -X

"I can never respect a law that don't respect humanity"

"Well behaved women rarely make history"

It's used a lot but I love it. I think Eleanor Roosevelt said it.

I saw this recently on a Facebook like page...and can be used for anything.wether your looking to advance your career and afraid of the outcome or maybe moving out on your own from your family or boyfriend.or even signing up for a site that you think you'll fail at it might actually be Your best new site. QFT. he was genius

one of my fav of his quotes on that tip: "A dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world".

In terms of work I drop Mae West too. "In choosing between two evils i always pick the evil I haven't chosen before"

I like Eleanor Roosevelt also; "The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams"

I think it was Einstein "the definition of insanity is trying the same thing over and expecting different results" (he has some chilling quotes about the nature of humanity)

I got a lot of them but right now it's

"The two most important days in your life are the day you are born. And the day you find out why." -Mark Twain

Not really a quote but a prayer. I remember this one always and take deep breaths before I recite it
God grant me the serenity To accept the things I cannot change;Courage to change the things I can;And wisdom to know the difference

    And finally

"God watches after babes and fools...which one are you?" -My Grandma, she usually says this when I'm doing something stupid

“Everything tells me that I am about to make a wrong decision, but making mistakes is just part of life. What does the world want of me? Does it want me to take no risks, to go back to where I came from because I didn't have the courage to say "yes" to life?” - Paulo Coelho

"All men dream: but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible." -T.E. Lawrence

"When I get down on my knees it's not to pray" -Madonna

“It’s dark because you are trying too hard.
Lightly child, lightly. Learn to do everything lightly.
Yes, feel lightly even though you’re feeling deeply.
Just lightly let things happen and lightly cope with them.

I was so preposterously serious in those days, such a humorless little prig.
Lightly, lightly – it’s the best advice ever given me.
When it comes to dying even. Nothing ponderous, or portentous, or emphatic.
    No rhetoric, no tremolos,
no self conscious persona putting on its celebrated imitation of Christ or Little Nell.
And of course, no theology, no metaphysics.
Just the fact of dying and the fact of the clear light.

So throw away your baggage and go forward.
There are quicksands all about you, sucking at your feet,
trying to suck you down into fear and self-pity and despair.
That’s why you must walk so lightly.
    Lightly my darling,
    on tiptoes and no luggage,
    not even a sponge bag,
    completely unencumbered.” -Aldous Huxley

"I want to stand as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all the kinds of things you can't see from the center." -Kurt Vonnegut

“Have patience with everything that remains unsolved in your heart. Try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books written in a foreign language. Do not now look for the answers. They cannot now be given to you because you could not live them. It is a question of experiencing everything. At present you need to live the question. Perhaps you will gradually, without even noticing it, find yourself experiencing the answer, some distant day.”
