    Default Wtf hairstylist?

I have been getting my hair cut by the same person for the past few years. She has been really awesome and I get tons of compliments on my hair. I like her! Well, I did.

I got my hair cut this week and she cut, like... half of it. I have layers, and she took two inches off the bottommost one. She cut it really bluntly and it's SO obvious because my uncut upper layers are cut in points. I have no idea how to style it now.

So, what the fuck? Should I go back to her and ask her to re-cut it? The receptionist booked me as her last client for the day and it's possible that she was just PMSing and wanted to go home already or something. It certainly isn't a bad cut, it's just not really finished. Would it be risky to go back to her? Do I need to find a new stylist? What should I do?

I would demand she fix it free of charge. How soon can you get in to see her?

When I had my hair last f'd up, I called & asked about it, they said I could have the original stylist do it, I said no, so they referred me to the owner. I think he did @ least a fair job.
I really hate it when it's someone you know & are used to, then out of the blue they f' up.

I think I'm going to trim it myself and if I'm not happy with it, I'll call her up. Thank you ladies!

I wouldn't do that if I were you. She could always try to turn it around and say YOU fucked it up yourself by altering the original style. Just call or go in, let her know you aren't happy, and see what she will do for you.

I would just call and if you normally book through her then explain it to her very nicely and I'm sure she'll fix it for you. My stylist in LA who did my hair for a decade fucked my hair up once, she went a really dark auburn with my highlights and it didn't match my hair extensions and was just not what I had wanted I had wanted a lighter strawberry blonde, I called her and she told me to wash it with laundry detergent a couple times and scheduled an appointment with me for a few days later in case that didn't work, it did so I didn't have to go in, but she definitely wasn't going to charge me. I think most stylists are eager to keep their clients and are happy to fix something if they're not happy, every girl knows how crazy women are about their hair. Especially something as small as just re-cutting some ends, if she's had you as her client for a while I can't see her refusing. I had a girl who did my hair once fuck it up and re-dyed the whole thing for free because I wasn't happy.
