I've become obsessed with knitting and crochet. Out of pure curiosity, how many SWers would wear a knitted/crochet dancing outfit?

One girl who used to work at my club wore a cute crochet-style off-the-shoulder crop top that was really cute on her! Something like that I would definitely consider wearing. That being said, I've also seen a really awful knitted stripper outfit before....
The girl I mentioned said hers would get stretched out throughout her shift so she would always have to be pulling it up / fiddling with it. I guess that would be my biggest concern.
Well, crochet isn't typically sexy, but neither is gingham and Brigitte Bardot rocked the fuck out of that. I think it's totally possible, but it would need to be executed flawlessly.

OMG, I think crochet is Totally sexy, I had the cutest tops I'd bought, (one from Lover' Lane of all places) they sold like hot cakes on Ebay! Also, I had a cute, cropped, deep V neck open knit l/s sweater, (VERY SEXY, I used to wear it w/a black velvet bra) & again a lady on Ebay emailed me about it, it didn't sell & the auction went off but she really wanted it.
Knitted stuff, decent knits are majorly expensive, to me it's even harder than sewing.
I want to find someone that both knits & crochets, I have some moth eaten nice sweaters I want fixed
There's an Au site called shemadeit or something they sell crochet swimwear, but to me their stuff's so-so.
Btw, knitting's supposed to help w/depression

I could see (& would be willing to try myself) crocheted/knitted pieces as part of a girl-nxt-door look. Loose crop tops/shorts or skirt sets, or maybe a drapey coverup type thing that you discard to reveal either a sexy lingerie set or smtg really flashy & 'WHOA!!'

Right now I'm at the stage where I'm doing headbands and hats. I'm attempting to do a tunic. If I'm able to do a pretty tunic, I'll try to do stripping outfits. I have confidence that I might be able to pull it off.
I love outfits that have different textures...I think they tap into the tactile side of men's brains, which can make it easier to sell dances. I love the look of crocheted bikinis and whatnot. But I feel like they wouldn't hold up very well in the club environment...
A girl I used to work with made her own (or her mom made them) knitted outfits. But the knitted part was sewn over an existing thong or bra to add stability and form. Sometimes added beaded fringe and stuff. She had some seriously awesome outfits. But she was also the type of person with a hippie streak so it matched her personality.

I say it goes anywhere..for a club, esp you'd need the yarn w/stretch in it, to give the nice fit. I see swimwear w/it, the machine kind..recently I bought a CUTE swimwear top (Ocean Pacific brand) @ W.mart..it's neon orange/pink zig zig stripes, w/a crochet overlay. I will get a pic on here.
Trust me, it's super HOT/sexxy..I wanted the bottoms but they were sold out.. Also, last yr. I bought plain black bottoms, again w/crochet overlay. Got the wrong damn size, too small. So what I mean by overlay, the basic fabric is the stretch material, then there's a thin layer of the machine made crochet over it. It adds a cool dimension/texture that the reg. fabric doesn't have. Also, in tops, the extra texture adds eye appeal, I have small boobs so that helps
Every automatically assumes it's hippe, & it can be,not always though, but it's very sexy. Not everything has to be spandex/poly to be hot.
Jay, check out http://bellearmoire.com for ideas. Also, Etsy.

Man a crocheted stripper outfit sounds so fucking strange to me.
That being said, I love a cute scarf or poncho. Awww, fuzzy and warm.
