    Default Going back to dancing?

    Hi

I danced almost two years ago for 6 months and I did pretty well (for Los Angeles). I quit eventually, but right now I'm thinking about going back. I would love to hear some input.

    The reasons I quit:
It was tough to dance and have a vanilla office job where I had to start at 8am.
    I had no social life.
I hated condescending customers who assumed I'm some dumb little whore even though I have a masters degree and a day job where I make more money than a lot of them do.
I do not like being touched by disgusting guys.

For you LA ladies: the club was in the valley and very cheap, blue collar, sometimes dive-y.

However, I'm thinking about starting again. I live in a very nice neighborhood, my rent eats up half my paycheck and I have car payments, I like to go out, buy clothes... The typical stuff. I'm not in debt and I don't NEED the money but it would be nice to have some extra and not live paycheck to paycheck.

I would not dance in the valley again. It would have to be a more upscale club. Do those even exist in LA? Touristy is fine too, as long as it's not smelly 60 year olds who don't speak English and constantly try to stick their fingers in my pussy while I'm on stage..
But could I get hired at one of the nicer clubs? And what about my social life? I just went through a tough break up and I'm in the process of making new friends. I'd have to work weekends so that would be hard.

Anyway. Has anyone ever been in a similar situation?
To dance or not to dance?

At the end of the day.....money is the motive correct? Only you can really determine if you should or shouldn't return to dancing.

You say you don't NEED too, but you would like the extra spending money right?

Google & Tuscl upscale gentlemen/stripclubs for your areas and read the reviews then take the next steps.

Well yeah of course it's my decision ultimately. I just wanted to talk to somebody about it and it's not like I can tell my family or my coworkers in the office.

I haven't heard much good abt LA stripclubs in most of the time I've been a member of SW. If you don't want to travel, or it wouldn't be practical to travel since you've also got the vanilla job, why not cam or do PSO?

I am in a similar situation as you as far as the FT vanilla job and don't need the money but it helps. That said, I don't know what to tell you. I'm at a club now that is letting me just do weekends and it is still exhausting. I wish the money was easily worth it but with how trashy other girls are and how entitled men have gotten, Idk if it is anymore.

Sorry if I sound stupid but what is PSO?
I've thought about caming I'm just not sure how lucrative it is. Maybe this is a misconception in my head but I always picture girls having to sit in front of their laptop in a dark room for hours while making a few cents per minute..
Unfortunately I can't really travel. Id go to Vegas if I could but it's too far to be worth it.

I wouldn't mind dancing again, I'm just not sure if I could get hired at a better club. And I doubt that there are any low contact ones in LA. My friend told me about a topless one that just opened. I've only done nude. Are topless ones better to work at? Do you have to be a really good dancer for that? Because I'm not.

PSO - phone sex operator. Something that I've considered actually but it creates a paper trail (camming would as well) and doesn't seem to pay that much.

Here, the nude clubs are for a) 18 year olds, all the nude clubs are juice bars and you have to be 19 to dance in alcohol clubs, or b) for the girls who aren't deemed pretty enough or are cuckoo for coco puffs. b is mostly in my half-and-half club; the topless night manager doesn't seem interested in dealing with their BS so they end up on the nude side. IMO topless is more 'upscale', at least in AZ

Camming can be very lucrative, but you'd need to chat with the girls in Camming Connection

Hm ok. It's the same here, nude means no alcohol. As far as the age goes I've seen a big variety (meaning 18-35). I've only ever considered nude so I don't know much about the topless ones in LA. I know there aren't that many.
    If it helps:
I'm 28, white, petite with small boobs, long light blonde hair and no tattoos as of now (but I want one soon).
I have a good body and I look like a dancer (I do ballet) but I can't move in a super sexy way or do pole work. I didn't really need that when I danced two years ago. Most guys that bought dances from me just thought I looked pretty. I'm not an extrem hustler but I usually left with $200 a night which was a nice extra income.

Agree w/ Selina that you would have to look at the Camming section / chat w/ the camgirls. There is A LOT of good info on the Camming Connection area. Camming isn't my thing personally for a lot of reasons, but give it a good hard look, do sm research, maybe it would be worth it for you to try.

Also, nude vs. topless 'which is better' really varies by the area. I have worked in both, & there were really a lot more factors contributing to whether a particular club was 'better than others' than just the dress code, or lack thereof. Relevant factors will largely be influenced by age- & alcohol-related laws. IME when you have the three factors of alcohol, contact & full-nudity, an area can have two out of three, I haven't worked anywhere that permits all three of those factors in the same place. For example you can have a full-nude club that allows contact but they are BYOB or might not permit alcohol at all. Doesn't mean it doesn't happen elsewhere tho.

Me three, it's not easy. Up where I am it's gotten to the point of, where I'll be getting ready to go to the club and think if it will even be worth it. Besides I would rather be spending my few days off with family or something.

I don't know how LA is, it depends on the area if the clubs will let you work just weekends. I used to work in a club where they let me work just weekends and it was usually worth it because it was a mixed crowd and somewhat of a dive with low fees, but it was tiring doing more than two days a week to work in the club.

The way it was worth it was going once a week in the right club, who did not care if I showed up only on Saturdays lol, and then the Saturdays would actually be decent.

I saw the same thing in the NY/NJ area. I only saw one upscale nude club and it was actually okay. The rest were all small dives and it got to a point I did not go to nude bars anymore since the girls were too cray cray. I thought I was the only one who used coocoo for cocopuffs lol, now I won't feel weird for saying it haha

Finding the right club can make all the difference. I had pretty much retired several years ago but recently found a new club where my earnings are MUCH higher. It's an hour drive but well worth it. Find a club where you are comfortable and there is potential money to be made.
Besides that....work on your hustle girl! I think if you are going to devote your spare time, late nights, energy by getting naked....it better be worth it. That's just how I put things in perspective. It keeps me motivated and on my game.

Seriously. Finding the right club (the right fit) makes all of the difference in the world. It always sucks to have to try more than one club - it's hard not to become discouraged. But it helps if you start becoming more and more aware of what's important to you in a club. Like for me, I care less about the club's classiness (I have no issues working in a nicer dive or decent mid-tier) and more about things like management style, upsell structure, etc.

Update: auditioning tomorrow night, right after work. If I get hired I'll just stay. Just realized I can't find any of my old clothes. Off to the hustler store I go.
    Wish me luck ladies!
By the way if anyone has ever worked at Skin in LA let me know what it's like. That'll be my first stop tomorrow.

Find a good club that lets you work once a week. I don't even have a vanilla job and I get so tired if I work more than twice a week. At any okay-good club you should be able to yield in $200-500 which honestly enough as spare cash.

    My adventures of last night:

The first club I went to (SKIN, for you LA ladies) hired me, BUT: I would never want to work there.
The manager was condescending, they require a 3 shift per week minimum which is impossible for me to do since I have a day job, the dressing room had NO LOCKERS (wtf?) and the VIP area looked really dirty and was not supervised by anyone (meaning no one could come to rescue you if you're being assaulted).
Also, they made me fill out an application OUTSIDE on the street before they would even let me in, in broad daylight where everybody driving by could see me.

So I said fuck it and went to the Seventh Veil, the club I had originally planned on going to anyway because it's very close to where I live.

They were awesome. Super nice, respectful, auditioned and hired me on the spot. Asked me to stay for the night which I did. The club is clean, got packed since it's right on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood and they don't have a schedule whatsoever. The manager stays in the VIP area all night and helps girls upsell dances.
Most of the girls are gorgeous and really great dancers so I'm a bit intimidated, but they were all pretty friendly and I didn't see any drugs or extras going on. (Doesn't mean it's not happening, I just didn't see anything). The customers are mostly young tourists.

I walked out with $300 which isn't bad for LA and I'm going back tonight. I'm so glad I went there after that strange experience at the first club.

    Yay

Awesome job!! And remember, clubs with gorgeous girls attract consistent and loyal customer bases. So while it can be a bit intimidating to work in that environment (as opposed to a dive where you're the hottest dancer), it's usually worth it. It took years for me to fully understand that!

Congratulations on a successful shift. And you get extra props for persevering after such a sketchy first-club encounter at Skin!
