Default Paying fees at an audition Help

I am going in for an audition tomorrow and I do not have money! They have a parking fee. Will they charge me if I am going in for a job? Thanks!

Just park elsewhere and walk or bus or arrange to be dropped. If you are letting a tiny thing like this hold you back , you'll have a hard time dancing.

It's not that paying the fee bothers me.. It is just the fact that I am broke. I might have to wait until I get a day job so I don't have to worry about things like this.

Seriously?? You don't have $$ for a parking fee but you would wait a minimum of 2-3 WEEKS for a vanilla job paycheque?? What abt your other expenses between now & receiving that paycheque? Sounds like you're reaching for an excuse to put it off. As Carmen said above, not having a few bucks for a parking fee is very easy to work round in the scheme of things.

I am a college student and right now "mommy and daddy" are paying for everything.. which is a huge part of the reason on why I want this job. I am going to go to plato's closet today to get the money by tomorrow. I am not trying to hold this off.

Aniela you are rude to all the newbies. If their questions anger and annoy you so much, why are you in this section?

In my experience they don't. I've never been charged for parking if applying.Just tell the guy who does parking you're coming in to apply they usually just let you park and go on in without any problems.

I am not rude. I have been very blunt w/ sm of the new posters like Byewig bc you need to approach this industry w/ eyes wide open. The girls that start these 'OMGOMGOMG I wanna dance but have no confidence can't I just [insert shortcut here] threads … they need to grow a backbone & take the plunge to find out if they will succeed, or they will get eaten alive.

When I responded to this thread, what I meant is that it seems ludicrous to let a parking fee stand in the way of earning cash that nite, esp if a girl is that broke. OP said she had zero $$$ right now & didn't elaborate. Waiting on a day job paycheque -- if she starts tomor at a day job, she would likely be waiting 2-3wks for $$$ depending on where they are in the pay cycle. My point was, Parking fee? What parking fee! It's such a tiny obstacle, why wait?? It wasn't meant nearly as nastily as you seemed to take it. As Obsession pointed out, telling the club you're there to work would likely get that fee waived, along w/ the frequently-waived first nite fees.

If it's the club's private lot, then dancers and those there to audition are typically waived through with no charge.

Right,^ I actually worried about this too, the one Scores, is strictly valet only. I didn't pay, I did tip a buck tho.
