Spoiler Alert!!!
Overall the movie was okay. They tried to tell too much story and introduce too many characters in the 2 hours. In a nutshell, I think Will Smith did a good job with Deadshot. El Diablo was good too. I didn't like Jared Leto's Joker, but Harley Quinn was okay, The Joker and Harley Quinn were portrayed too gangsta and too trashy. I think Harely Quinn and Deadshot made the best connection with audience. Cara Delevingne as the Enchantress was okay too. The action scenes were really good and the story was interesting, but I'm a DC fan. I think DC is trying to learn how to present a bunch of characters in one movie. Marvel did it much better, but they have several years of over DC. Batman and The Flash make cameos, that was really cool.

^^ Haven't seen it yet, but that's about what I suspected. It looks like they got Harley perfect, but screwed up the Joker. The tattoos and chrome grill are awful, and he should have the rictus grin. Also, it is a crime that CCH Pounder didn't play Waller. A CRIME.
Eagerly anticipating your thoughts on Star Trek! #TeamJaylah

Spoiler Alert:
The movie was okay. I found it a little confusing. The USS Franklin crashed on that planet and they found ancient technology that made the Franklin crew and anybody they captured look like "Krall" alien. There's some funny moments. The scenes with Spock and McCoy are the best. I like that all the main characters all had equal screen time and equal importance to the story. I'm not sure I like that Zachary Quinto plays Spock with so much emotion, but I still love the character. The best was Jaylah, she's the coolest new alien ever.
It's been a really hot summer. My car thermometer read 105 degress, so I dressed light. I wore a cute half-tee (to show off my new belly ring), some cute shorts and sandals. As it turned out, the theater was fricking cold, I was freezing my butt off. I was hugging my brother the whole movie. I hardly touched my soda.
R check your PM.
I actually fell asleep during Star Trek Beyond. In my defense (and the movie's) i had worked all week and hadn't gotten a lot of sleep, so those seats were sooooo comfy... Nice 16$ nap. But i did need it. I intend to see it again, probably this weekend.
Suicide Squad was a step in the right direction for DC, light years better than emo-teen Superman and Batman the gloating murdered we saw back in may. You can tell DC is trying to course correct. It was terribly edited in the third act, that may be a source of some confusion. Jared Leto has been voicing displeasure at how much of his scenes were cut out, so maybe there was originally more there.

Sarchasm (n): The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person who doesn't get it

I've heard there's some doubt as to whether there will be a fourth Trek film. "Beyond" felt as though they may have had that in mind. I do hope they get a couple more, as they've put together such a great cast, which now includes Jaylah! Somehow, she's a better developed and likable character than others who had several seasons of television to develop.
Why is Bruce Wayne out recruiting members for the Justice League as... Bruce Wayne?
Anybody like Jessica Jones? I just wached it and it was pretty cool! Luke Cage comes out in September! I'm eager.

More "American Gods" details!
Nerdist News went deep with the cast and crew of American Gods and discovered that the series will follow a path somewhat different from the novel that inspired it. Far from being a true diverging, however, Nerdist reports that the series will not only cull from the near 600-page edition of Gaiman’s text, but also from the author’s character and plot notes, many of which either didn’t make it in, or were merely alluded, to in the novel.

I LOVED Jessica Jones, and I'm halfway through Luke Cage (I JUST found this thread, I will be here often). Actually, the Jessica Jones comic books (Alias) are the only Marvel comics I read well before there was any visual representation, they did it really really well. I really liked how it ended, and David Tennant did a wonderful Kilgrave/Purple Man. I'm so looking forward to the Defenders!

Nerd stuff has been taking up my whole life since I was about 7. Books, video games, comics, D&D, astronomy, Star Trek, Star Wars, and cosplay the last few years - sum up my interests in full. I'd have to say my main Thing the last 10 years has been the Elder Scrolls game series, I love it more than my parents probably.

Great! I feel a little guilty about always bumping my own thread with stuff like American Gods: The Comic Book!

I'm now feeling the full force of my large and half unread Neil Gaiman collection. Lol

Anyone go to NYC comic con?
Where Am I? Missing NYC

No, I'm taking my little brother. I'm very comfortable being sexy and showing skin around like minded adults, but not around families or kids. The worst is junior high and high school age guys and that's 75% of the crowd. They just stop and stare and you can feel them staring.

That makes sense.
