    Default Can someone tell me....

Although it might be posted somewhere, what settings do you use on the SM encoder to stream at a better quality? I use a mac and I notice that my view on my encoder and how my camera looks looks so much nicer and cleaner and crisper than what is being broadcasted to my room.

What would be the settings to display my camera in more HD than it is because Im assuming thats what the issue is, when I view my own cam via a webpage or my phone it looks way off to what it does on my settings via the encoder on my mac. thanks in advance lovelies!

When you log into streamates there is a support button I'm the top right hand corner, click there then click HD encoder. You should be able to download higher quality settings there.
However you said that you look fine in your own encoding screen and bad on the website, it may not be your settings, it may be your internet connection.

Thanks I know all about how it works.. I've been using the encoder for a long time now. My internet is fine, I have a great router, great ISP, 150mb DL and 25mb UL speeds.. just seems to look different to me when I view it via chrome or safari from what I see displayed on my monitor, maybe its in my head, I don't know. I have read somewhere that girls use higher bitrate and output settings to display their cam in 720HD and such, thats what I was looking for, thank you though have a nice weekend!

If i wanna use the 720HD it'll be Input & Output size of 1280x720, 30 frame rate & 2500 bit rate, my pc & connection allow me to work with these settings.
Right now i use a bit lower settings as the 720HD is not implemented/ mandatory yet (see the resolution 1280x720? 720HD name comes from the second parameter of this resolution )
Now i use 1024x576 with 2000 bit rate and 30 fps until they say it's time for the higher one. I noticed is less glitchy to cam with these settings than with the higher one, i guess they need more time to prepare themselves for the new thing.

Is this helpful to u? I hope it is, same for other girls.

ETA: u did not say what settings u use urself just now lol. Sometimes when looking at urself from the same pc/ connection it might happen to see a lower quality picture due to the fact that u stream and receive ur own feed at the same time but maybe u look at urself from another device totally independent than the one u stream from? Like u use a mobile, a mobile connection, a second internet line or so? Depends a lot on how u watch urself.

Yes, helps out big time thank you And Right now I'm currently using what is said on the site to use.... the 704x480 input (I use an iMac to cam) and 864x480 output with 29.97 fps with like 1500 bitrate. And that does make sense also, like I said perhaps its in my head because I do get compliments on my cam and my picture also but when I saw myself via safari on my mac I was like does my cam really broadcast like that?? haha. Thank you so much exactly the answer I was looking for! Have a nice weekend
