Why wait til Wednesday if you need money now? If that club won't let you audition until then, try a different one. Some clubs don't have an audition so much as look at you and decide if you're hired or not, and then you can work right then and there. Others don't let you start until the next day, that weekend, or even the following week. It varies by club, so just get to your nearest club and start asking to work -- if they won't let you, go to the next one, etc., etc.

If it's a dive then chances are they will hire you on the spot as long as you look ok to whatever their standards are, if any. I've found when places say they will call it's usually them turning you down, they won't call you so if that does happen then move on to the next. I've had very fee clubs not give me the option to immediately work and the ones that didn't ask if I wanted to work the same day were definitely higher end clubs. Especially with it being day shift I say your chances are very good that you will be able to work so go prepared.

As the others have said, they often hire you on the spot or ask you to start the next day. At the clubs I worked at their idea of an audition was a trial shift, meaning you start earning straight away. Good luck!

Getting hired is not a long process, but making money can be. Some girls get lucky and have a knack for it immediately, others have to learn over a period, anywhere from days to months.

Not trying to be a debbie downer, but it's not necessarily always a get-money-fast deal. I made $14 my first shift. Even the experienced girls sometimes have $0 nights, if it's just a bad crowd or dead. Just trying to put some realistic expectations out there.

Edit to add: Forgot about the possibility of a license. If you're in an area that requires a license, that may take longer AND cost $$. For examples, Phoenix will not let you even audition without their license, and Las Vegas will not let you work until you have a sheriff's card. Some other clubs will charge you extra house fee if they allow you to work w/o one.

When I applied to my first stripper job, it was at a dive and I also wanted day shift...literally showed up, the manager looked me up and down and said "ok sure...let's try you out." All those nerves for nothing!
In my experience day shift is much easier to start with, and usually has a bit of wiggle room if you have a few extra pounds to lose, etc.
It is true however that the money doesn't necessarily just start rolling in the minute you walk out on the floor...but you will probably have some "new girl" appeal if there are regulars.

I agree with Shanna. Apply today to every safe and legit club until you get hired; unless they have a floor limit for dancers (most clubs don't), then you are typically allowed and even encouraged to start that night, immediately after you finish your contract/paperwork. So pack your lunch or dinner and go in prepared to work, even if you're not sure you're gonna get hired. Find out what typical stage fees are in your city. Some clubs charge next to nothing ($5-10), some charge upwards of $100 per dancer per shift. Many clubs waive fees for new girls on their first night (and sometimes first week), but you never know. So your $50 might not be enough to be allowed to work the first night (but ask if you can pay at the end of the shift if you don't have it, all they can do is say no); and you also need a little cash to tip with--just in case you end up not making any money--you will need to give the house mom, DJ, and valet something, even if it's just a couple dollars (if you make money, you'll want to tip way more). If you don't make money, when handing over that $2 or whatever be sure to say "Thank you," and tell them you wish you could give them more. As long as you communicate, they will understand. You want to start out on the right foot with these folks, because their willingness to help you (or hurt you in some cases) is definitely in proportion to how well you tip. That being said, tipping house staff is not legally obligated in most if not all states in the U.S. All you need to audition is a pair of heels, a clean dress, and a smile. Remember to point your toes and hold your stomach in.
