I ignored it thinking he was just trolling until he typed my ip address in the chat......I PMd him and he pretty much said if I didnt do what he said, he would take my internet down for the night and the next day. I asked him what he wanted and he told me to bend over, which I refused to do so down went my internet and then things started opening by themselves on my laptop.
Apparently this is what is known as rat-ing. I was only using the free version of AVG at the time. I have completely reset my router and restored my laptop back to factory settings, contacted Chaturbate, changed all my passwords, covered my in-built webcam with dark tape, downloaded the 30 day trial for AVG Pro and now im about to ring my internet company to see what they can do. I am in New Zealand and using cable internet which apparently you can only have a static ip opposed to dynamic so this isnt an option unless I change internet companies.
Obviously I am freaked the fuck out and unsure of what to do next as its pretty likely he will do this again. Has this happened to anyone else?? It hasnt seemd to have happened to anyone at this time which is making me feel extremely singled out and targetted. Any advice or links to malware protection, hackers, etc are muchly appreciated!!
