Default Multiple computers and cams? Anyone tried it?

I'm very new here. I've done a few sessions on streamate and realized...I'm sitting around a lot waiting, would have more exposure and more views if I could login to 2-3 sites with 2-3 different computers with their own monitors (we have spare computers and monitors).

    Anyone else have this idea?

Provided you have a good computer, you only need one and split cam software. Of course, you need good internet upload speeds too!

I used to use two computers and two webcams to split cam. It was just too much of a hassle for me so I didn't do it long. It takes up so much space to have both monitors/laptops and you have to divide your attention. It just wasn't paying off for me so I stopped doing it. There's plenty of girls who do though.

Soon as posted this thread, a multiple cam thread popped up. Will definitely look into the split cam!

How do you have them set up? Side by side? I have plenty of computer equipment but limited space. Have you noticed a drastic change in your income? I need to make $1500 ASAP for school and I'm hoping this split cam idea works.

Yep this is how I roll 2 laptops, 2 webcams, plus FaceTime cam on my Mac. I have them set up side by side. I've always done this though so can't really say if it's a huge difference in income. Wouldn't think so to be honest as I only have one main site and the other 2/3 are just pocket money x

It really depends on how you want to work mutliple computers with multiple cams.

a powerful computer could handle it, but then certains sites are all asking to use adobe encorder. and I've found to run that effectively you would need a seperate machine to work it. or your work a site that uses encorder streamate or cams.com then another site that doesn't use it imlive, or ifriends or something.

With more then one camera it depends split camera softwares do the trick but then they also have their own set of problems and websites do not give support on how to handle your feed not working right if you are using those softwares and its been a little ticky to get support on here if you are using manycam .

For me I am thinking two computers, and two cameras because I like having a camera with a wireless remote control. with the newer versions of logitech cameras I can probably one everything on one machine but even the best top machines will lag and slow down the more you push it to a limit.

I've many permutations. The easiest from a performance perspective is one camera, one computer, two monitors but this does effect broadcast quality, mainly sound. Two cameras one computer, two monitors is better, but again sound is still a little off. Best is two computers. Everything runs smoothly but just remember to adjust both cameras when teasing or one site gets a free flash!
