Default Need advice on how to keep a good customer long term

So, I need advice on how to keep a really really good customer.

Here's the story. He has a history of picking one dancer and always being with her and then after a few months never ever speaking with her again. I have seen at least 3 of my friends go from being his number 1 to less than dirt. It's been a year and a half since I met him. At first he would hardly tip me when I went around but slowly as I've been able to talk to him a little while the other girl is on stage or the bathroom we have gotten to know each other. Anyway, I'm not his number 1 but my tips have been going up and I know for a fact the last time he came in and did hours of VIP with the other girl but she got wasted and passed out an hour before closing. I stepped in and just drank and partied with him and another girl for the last hour but she didn't last either. He paid us on his card and I saw the sheet and he gave me 5 times more than the other girls.

How do I keep him? From observing other girls with him, he seems to make them feel special until they think he's only there to see them. They get bold and start spending his money and ordering bottles and demanding how much they want. He doesn't come when girls text him and actually makes a point NOT to come if you do text him. He is also a regular at other clubs and loves drama and people fighting over him. I try to be as drama free as possible.

This makes me think I definitely do not want to be that girl. I didn't give him my number or ask for his because I know I will see him again. I'm thinking I should give him some space and not smoother him so that my shelf life with him will last longer. Or should I just be like every other girl and accept the fact that I have a couple months to drain as much money from him as possible? That's what I do with most customers but honestly he is the biggest tipper I have ever had by far.

Sorry for such a long post but thanks in advance for any advice.

Accept the fact that he's going to have an expiration date and drain him while you can. No regulars last forever. I have gotten decent at zoning in on what my regulars *really* want and playing on that as long as I can...but in the end you're just stretching it out as long as you can until the money stops. The good news is they can always be replaced by someone else. I can't remember who said it but someone on here said Regulars are like buses. You miss one; there will be another in 15 minutes. So true!

I would keep playing it casual and hard-to-get, knowing that he won't come if you text him and doesn't like when girls get a hold on him.

The first regular i eve made was like him.

I had watched many girls just sit there and order bottles or 25 dollar drinks, they would ask for 400 bucks, and even though he dished it all out... I asked for less, I would ask him if it okay before i ordered anything, i made sure to actually listen to him. I didn't get annoyed with him when he would tip girls, i asked if i could tip the girls on stage with him. When there was other girls around i noticed they would talk down about the girls on stage, i made sure to say something nice about them.

Basically i made my self known to him that i was more nice, and cared more about him, then just trying tom get top dollar out.

It's been over a year now since i first sat with him and see him every other week. Money has gone up and i havent seen him keep any other girl as long as me.

This is good advice although the opposite can also work in your favor. I'm in a club where many of the girls are soooooo sweet and will just happily chit chat to their regs/customers all night for free. I go the other way and I'm a little more demanding and aggressive. I have a regular that won't leave me alone because I tell him as soon as he gets there "If you want to hang out take me to VIP." Some guys love that shit. They aren't used to that and I make more $$ that way. I think anything that makes you stand out from the other girls would hold his interest longer.

Lol!!! That was I who said that.

But yeah this guys seems to be using money as a tool for playing mind games with strippers. Sounds like you're better off without him but you seem to be working him well if he keeps coming back to you. He may be your biggest tipper now but that doesn't mean there won't be any other big tippers / spenders in the future.

Ride that money train till the wheels fall off. Then onto another money train!
