Default How to get rid of baby pooch asap?

So I'm wanting to become a dancer asap but I just had a baby 6 weeks ago. I'm finding it hard to go to the gym as often as I'd like on top of all my mummy duties so I'm going like 3 times a week and doing around 30 mins of cardio to try and burn fat whilst i'm there. I'm finding my lower belly hard to get rid of. I won't feel comfertable or confident enough to be a stripper without getting my stomach flat. Does anyone have any tips/diet plans?? I need this baby belly gone!!!!!

Well, I've got good news and bad news. I had a miscarriage 6 years ago and I STILL have a pooch. If you have good genetics you might bounce back. Paleo and lots of cardio got me skinny but the pooch remained. Barring surgery and great genes you might have to wait.

Oh thank you. I wasn't that far along but pregnancy still wrecks your body no matter what trimester you're in. Try cutting down rather than omitting it entirely.

Cutting out sugar (this means everything from regular sugar to fruit sugars to alcohol to sugars in carbs like bread, pasta, etc) and adjusting my diet was what really changed the game for me.

Long story short, fructose/sucrose/glucose/whatever is processed by your liver and if you eat too much (I think your liver can only store up to about 100g/day) it can elevate your triglycerides and excess triglycerides get stored in your fat cells. I'm pretty active but I wanted to see how much of a difference eating super clean would make so for 4 weeks I followed a very strict regimen. No starchy veg, no processed sugar/carbs/dairy (lactose is a milk sugar and technically kind of like a carb), lean protein only and adjusted my daily MFP macros and saw my stats change pretty drastically: lost 5 inches, over 2.5lbs pure fat and gained 2lbs of muscle in only 4 weeks!

I cheated plenty too, like on cupcakes, champagne, vodka, dat NJ taylor ham/egg/cheese on kaiser roll (omfg so good) and around week 3 when I felt pretty stable with my diet I reintroduced fun little things like a bit of cheese or grassfed butter and fruit, as long as they were within my macros. The reason why people recommend avoiding alcohol when cutting/leaning out is because alcohol is not stored as glycogen when you consume it and thus your body will use the alcohol to fuel itself first. While that's happening, your body will not burn fat as fuel. This doesn't exactly stop weight loss but it does postpone it. Also, alcohol lowers your inhibitions, so it makes it more difficult to maintain your willpower when cleaning up your diet.

If you're worried about sugar cravings though, I highly recommend checking out erythritol - it's just basically a sugar alcohol so when you eat it your blood sugar is stable and doesn't skyrocket like it would with normal sugar. Also, seriously please don't waste your time and money on juice cleanses or stuff like that. If you can manage to stick to your cleanse you might lose some numbers on the scale but it won't help to lean you out AT ALL. Your glucose receptors don't really distinguish between fruit sugars and regular sugar. If you eat straight up fruit at least you'll get the fiber along with the sugar to help it absorb a little slower into your bloodstream but with juice you're getting a blood sugar spike bomb which facilitates fat storage in your body.

Sorry for the long post! I hope this is helpful

Diet and exercise the best way.

For me gluten and lactose and carbonated drinks bloat my stomach up. So I cut back on these things.

Also ab exercises. A personal trainer can help you hit all the ab muscles if that's in your budget. If not subscribe to the fitness mags / blogs and practice working your abs at home.

And unfortunately genetics plays a role. If women in your family have stomach pooch you most likely will carry your weight their too so you'll have to work harder with diet and exercise to keep your stomach flat.

If all else fails, and you have the money, you could get lipo. Apparently there are less invasive lipo procedures nowadays that use laser and whatnot.

I tried to get rid of mine for years. Eventually my laziness and love of food led to me embracing my pooch. The only guys that ever complain or say anything are the broke and insulting everyone type guys. If you aren't trying to get hired at an upscale place, you can get hired. Get a tan, It will soften the lines and make you look skinnier in general. There are outfits you can wear to hide or cover your midsection if it makes you that paranoid. But, be confident no matter what. These are just simple things to start with while you are working out.

Had my baby 3 weeks ago and had a C section. I have the pooch as well as fat on butt and thighs and it sucks. Had a six pack before. Not supposed to exercise for 3 more weeks but doing walking videos a little at a time. Trying to lower carbs and eat mostly protein fats and greens. Got a belly bandit which is like a corset to hold my posture and suck in abs to re-tone them. Breastfeeding helps lose the weight quicker. Once six weeks comes I have Jillian Michaels 30 day shred to do and her butt video. Hope it works. I have to get to my original figure to work again in late fall.

Body wraps work well for a quick fix. Seeing the week long results may motivate you to lose it for good. Small, frequent meals with lots of protein, cardio-dancing counts, and weights. Many reps will a small number of pounds to tone up. Also, measure yourself vs. weigh yourself since muscle weighs more than fat.

If you have saran wrap and prep H you can make your own body wraps easy. I've been skeptical of this but I tried it once before a weigh-in and it totally works.

    1) Smear the prep H all over your desired lean-out area (waist, thighs, etc)
    2) Take one end of the saran wrap then tightly roll around targeted area. Make sure it's not so tight that it cuts off circulation or you have trouble breathing.
    3) Carefully put on tights or spanx (basically any kind of compression garment to keep it in space + add a little extra hold)
    4) Go to sleep
    5) When you wake up, you'll find that your targeted areas will have reduced visibly.

Definitely alter your diet, as said before it is the most effective and important way to lose stomach fat. Cut back on carbs and sugar. Also, have you ever heard of Coolsculpting? It is offered at most med spas and plastic surgeons offices. It literally melts away your fat after a few sessions. It is great for spot reduction. I would also highly recommend Venus Freeze, it tightens and tones whatever area you get treated on. I have done it for both my stomach and legs and it works really well. As for exercise, they say that doing situps is not really effective for losing fat, it just helps define the muscles in your stomach more, which can actually make it look bigger. The best exercise for fat loss is plain old cardio. Cardio kickboxing is great, it burns fat and gets you toned at the same time.

Two words: Diastasis Recti. Look it up. Make sure it's not part of your pooch problem. There is a way to test it yourself. Then look up cat vomit exercise it's part of the 4hour body ab workout. I recently gave birth and i did the "cat vomit" to heal my abdominal separation.
