    Default dancing with a cop

So I'm pretty sure I danced with a cop. I approached him and he immediately agreed to get a dance and when i asked which one he said the 30 min suite. He paid the bartender and didnt even need to ask the price. I gave him a lap dance and there was contact. I think he was a cop because he was super serious the whole time and not relaxed. He also wasnt too handsy and didn't ask for any extras but my club has video and audio surveillance so that's probably why he didn't say anything. I might be paranoid but this guy just really didn't seem like a normal customer.

What happens when you're ticketed for giving a lap dance? When and how do you find out about the charge and how does it affect your record? I know there are posts about this but i can't find the answer to these questions and many of the posts are super old. If anyone has any current info or has experienced anything similar please share! !!

Reiterating, seriously, if you're worried, consult/retain an attorney experienced in adult work. Read the above, esp. Michelle11..she a long time exp. professional. Search posts by Melonie, she's now banned, but has excellent legal knowledge & also a long time, now retired dancer. There's cops everywhere, & weird ppl too.
Just handle yourself, arm yourself w/knowledge, & you'll be all good. Take care & good luck

That was my post haha! I'm just curious about what actually happens when you're charged a violation. What the charge is and when/how you recieve it. Nothing happened after the dance.. he never said anything but im curious that they could charge me later or something

Hence my suggestion..it all depends where you are & what the laws are.

^ We've already explained this to you. Maybe this business is not for you or you should look into waitressing instead of dancing at your club.

Here's what I'm asking that wasnt in my last post which was a completely different situation:
Do girls get charged on the spot or do they find out much later and HOW do they find out?
I know many girls on here have recieved charges for a variety of violations and I'd like to hear their stories.

Do you need a license to work at your club? If not how can they charge you later. No in most cases you would be charged same night. I have suggested you do a search. You will get more info than starting threads asking the same thing in different ways... And to be honest that was adressed as well.

Also remember that maybe he was a cop and he just came in to enjoy himself. I would think if he was trying to bust you something would have happened on the spot if you did anything wrong.

I've had cop customers. One even told me he was a cop just out trying to have fun, he was drinking quite a bit at the bar and was worried about intimidating me but he was super nice and bought a lot rows of dances.

Cops like to have fun too.

Thanks guys and sorry michele11 i didnt read your post on the other thread about getting charged through your license until now. I did some research and i have found little information and what i have also found is that each situation is different so i guess there isn't a clear answer to my questions.

If he was a cop he would have arrested you or fined you right then and there sweetie, no need to worry. He was probably just a weirdo. They don't wait like a week after you danced, and they usually don't buy rooms. They will go in w more than one person as witness, buy a couples' dance and slap handcuffs on you right after the dance is over or after the first infraction.

Here you DO need licenses and they do charge you the same day. In Phx, they go around writing tickets, which are civil violations like a speeding ticket, but can be pretty expensive. If they pop you for multiple things, you'll end up with $1k in fines.
One of my old clubs (which was hella dirty) got busted; they didn't make arrests, they didn't pull girls licenses, but the girl who was basically prostituting in the back got $4k in fines.

OP, even if it was a cop, you were obviously pretty aware so it was unlikely you did anything with a major red flag. I think he would have ticketed you the same night. He may also have just been a really strange customer, lord knows some of them are bizarre!

It a HIGH chance it wasn't!
Cops tend to ASK and TALK much more than actually spend.

If you're That Paranoid, you have two options here IMO.

    1) research the bejeezus out of your local laws & find the cleanest possible club to work at, even if it means commuting.
    2) quit dancing.

Idk where you're located, but the fact that you specified in your OP that the dance you gave w/ this individual 'there was contact' … if you're in an area that's either no contact or is kinda funny abt contact, & you give contact dances knowing that, well to be blunt you're asking for trouble. Don't ever take it for granted that the 'tame' things your coworkers allow are actually legal. This was a mistake I made in Daytona -- every single club I saw was contact & I always thought it was strange that the private area had all of these 'NO STRADDLE DANCING ALLOWED' signs. Turns out 2way contact wasn't legal according to what was on the books. Also explained why there was also always a staff member bs'ing w/ vice when they came in multiple times a wk -- it was basically this guy's job to finesse them & keep them from actually looking deeper into the club & finding all the shit that was happening. Straddle dancing alone was the least of it.

Also, there is a HUGE difference between dancing for a cop (I have many times, & they love me once they learn how pro-cop I am) & dancing for a cop who is there on a mission. If there had been a problem, you would have heard abt it by now. If you stick w/ this job for awhile, you will also learn that 'odd' behaviour alone doesn't mean a guy's a cop. Customers come in all shapes, sizes, income lvls, & comfort lvls. He could have just as likely been your average non-LE Joe Schmoe who's a bit too tightly wound but still wants to have a good time w/ female company.

Yeah. I explained in detail how everyone who had a license at my old club got a charge in the mail. We were not warned that day nothing. They charged me with 4 of them. They were misdemeanors so when we went to court the judge said it was ok. Stupid. Also a lot of customers are weird awkward. Amiranda which is why they come to clubs. Ive had guys not even look at me and I only push rooms ( im lazy) and go right back. Or guys I thought didn vibe/ like me go. Some people especially IT guys are awkward and introvertred.

Wait til you get a guy who wants you to beat him up. Or like me one night. I had a normal guy form out of town ( old guy in a suit go right back) I un buttoned the top button( my ocd and pet peeve. when a guys shirt is cutting his circulation off) and he kept whispering something. Finally I realized he asked if I saw his corset. The guy had a white corset on that didnt cover his nipples. I had to turn around. Then it was see my nylons, Then have you ever fucked a guy in the ass. I never expected all this out of this meek little old guy in a suit.

I hope they don't start mailing stuff out. That would be insane. I've never heard of them doing it here, just coming in and writing tickets.

I danced for a cop once... He let me know right off the bat and he was off duty. It sketched me out at first, but he was nice and he spent money.

on the flip side, last night, I saw a new sign at the bar for dancers to watch their dances. I guess vice came in last week and a few girls got citations. That really freaked me out. My dances don't include extras, but at least in AZ, cops pretty much LOOK for shit (even had an ex boyfriend who wanted to be a cop confirm this)... So I was freaked out at the thought of getting a ticket and some kind of prostitution charge on my record. So, I too want to know what happens in the case of getting a ticket. LOL

A lot of my customers are cops. Depending on your state, as long as you don't solicit prostitution (dont say it, dont offer it, dont refer to it) you should be fine.

I've danced for an undercover before. I feel like it was VERY obvious and he asked a lot of questions. As soon as we got into the back, he started telling me about an "escort business" he ran out of state (instant red flag). He then asked me if I would be interested in ever trying it out and asked me if I wanted to back to his hotel room and practice on him. I politely declined, and he said "Well your friend (name of person I know from work) said you would". It was like I was set up! After the dance, he ended up tipping me a great deal and was still smiling, even though I declined his offer.
