Considering escorting (I think I've posted a few threads now). I'm thinking of charging $400/hr... Do you think it would be possible for me to book 16 hours a week at that rate?? The local girls here in Ottawa are charging 200-350 it seems.

it is about your advertising, and having a plan to work through your slow timers.
There is no way of knowing if you can make that much until you start putting things into action so you can see your own results.

Probably not. Understand that the average hooker is very much middle-class. $6400/wk realistically requires touring your ass off, exceptionally good luck, and having all of your marketing on point. $1600-$2000/wk is much more reasonable and sustainable, assuming that you're popular enough with clients. There's no way in hell to do high volume and charge more than everyone else; I only get away with my rates once a week, and that's with traveling all over the country.

There are so many factors to earning potential. 400/hr is not unreasonable for Ottawa, there are a few escorts there charging 500/hr. One factor for gaining new business is your ability to advertise successfully to upscale clients. Invest in gorgeous photos, a professional website and advertise everywhere high-end escorts in yohr area advertise. Since you will be a new escort and your rate is higher than average, it might take longer to build a clientele. Keep in mind all business involves a lot of investing in the beginnning and builds slowly and cumulatively.
Ottawa is a small city but very affluent. How much you are capable of earning on a regular basis will be partially determined by your abillity to advertise and market yourself effectively to bring in new clients, but even more importantly since Ottawa is small, is your ability to be professional and consistently provide fulfilling experiences for your clients so that they become regulars and semi-regulars. Another major factor is your ability to self-sustain and provide yourself with the necessary self-care.
I think your expectation for 16 hrs a week is high especially since you are completely new and are starting a business from scratch. You may have the potential to get there but I think a more reasonable goal of 5-10 hrs for the first few months, and if you reach that, then you could try aiming for 16 hours if you want. But give yourself several months to build your business. Who knows, maybe you can achieve that goal quickly but in my opinion it's better to start with smaller, more achievable goals so you are more likely to succeed.
Given Ottawa is small, even with lots of regulars it might be impossible to be busy all the time. Fortunately, Ottawa is not far from two other major cities, Toronto and Montreal, to do short tours in.
Thank you so much, really good advice here
Astra, I'm not sure where you are from but would you be able to recomend any photographers?

Not to thread hijack, but this seems an appropriate place to share a very positive economic success story from a provider. We have a few nice sessions and got comfortable and I bring up air bnb and how much I prefer it for vacation traveling. She then tells me how she started using air bnb a long time ago as a landlord. She had a condo in her home city and started using air bnb to lease it while she was on tour and that, because her location was near an entertainment district, she was able to keep it well leased and make more than her monthly rent while she was away. That gave her such a financial boost that she started looking for a downtown, entertainment district type location, in her second major traveling city. She said she ended up having to save to put a lot down, but was able to buy a second place. Her income and air bnb money started going back into the properties. She's now paid off her first condo, is well on the way with her second, and says she is ready for another home in her home city so she could keep her other place leased all the time. She said she expected in 5 years to have three paid off homes, having one leased as a true rental property, and that her next goal is to buy true residential rental properties.
I was stoked to hear how well she was doing and how she had a plan to not only make money, but to acquire assets that produced money without her having to work. That's a big transition. Good luck and stay positive!
That's amazing!! I've been interested in learning how to invest in real estate so thats definitely something to consider

Hey Shannon,
I can recommend two photographers to you, one has a studio in Montreal and she travels to other cities as well. She's taken photos of many high-end ladies: blacklotusphoto.com
Another one is a studio in Toronto and has taken photos of at least one of the high-end ladies here and her photos are beautiful: kissedbylightphoto.com
I'm located in Toronto.
Hope that helps!
Both of their portfolios look incredible. I think Ill go with Black Lotus - LOVE her "sweet" gallery
Thank you!!
Revisiting this thread w another question - Astra and Minnie, maybe you could answer this for me: would I be wrong to think that I might attract more clients in Toronto given that it's a bigger city? I'm graduating at the end of summer '16, so if I genuinely enjoy escorting, I would be will to tour/move to toronto.
P.s. Astra I booked with Alexa for Monday and am beyond excited!!

There are definitely more clients in Toronto, given that it's a bigger city. There are a lot more escorts in Toronto too, but personally I don't find that to be a problem and I have enough work to meet my financial goals. I haven't worked in Ottawa, so I can't compare the two. But there are many upscale escorts in Toronto that tour to Ottawa on a regular basis and a few high-end escorts that live and work in Ottawa, so there must be a market to support their business.
If you aren't graduating until next summer, you could consider touring to Toronto once a month or every other month to see if you like working and staying in Toronto. It would also give you the opportunity to build up some regular clientele if you decided to move to TO permanently.
Congrats on your photoshoot!![]()
Ok, that's what I expected re toronto bc, drawing from my SC experience, more girls working around me in a bigger club was never a problem. Just means there's more variety for more clients. I was considering doing tours to toronto for the remainder of this semester, however, I won't have the time next semester as my schedule will be jam packed...
