I'm trying to find a good dupe for my Beauty Blender. It's time to replace it and I'm not down to spend $20 on a sponge. I'm looking at Sephora's total coverage sponge which is $12.

I have hears the Flower beauty or Real Tecniques are good.

I'm loving Too Faced's eyeshadow palette in sweet peach
I have a package of skincare products from The Ordinary arriving soon. I'm so excited to try the brand! Very affordable and extremely high quality. I have marula oil coming, a vitamin c / HA serum...a couple of other items. I'll report back!

^ ooh I have been meaning to order some. Do let us know, almost everything I use breaks me out like I tried a bunch of new stuff from belief and also Boscia and something is breaking me out ugh.
xoxo

I just started using an anti aging prod by Ordinary..I mean just started a couple days ago.
So far I like it, I ordered the neck product today

does their stuff have fragrance?

I use a number of the ordinary products in my regime. I prefer their marula oil to drunk elephant's. I also use their retinoids, they have a couple but they are comparable to Sundry Riley's Luna oil. I am about to step it up with some actual retin-a samples though to see if I need that.
word of advice on the ordinary...If you like something stockpile it, they tend to be back ordered at the very moment you run out.

I'm kind of surprised makeup companies don't do more sample give aways. When I was a small kid (1980s) it was common to get free samples from drugstores. Now that makeup on average is as or much more expensive, free samples would make sense.

Chanzep, the Deciem/Ordinary products I've used don't have fragrance. I've tried a few products from Deciem (the parent brand of The Ordinary) and really like them overall.
Products I've tried:
- NIOD Multi-Molecular Hyaluronic Complex - it's good but not sure I could see a difference between this and the much cheaper The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid serum.
- Chemistry Hyaluronic Concentrate - I use this on my body...it comes in a big bottle and I love it for moisturising in hot weather, instead of lotion.
- Chemistry Glow Oil - a DHA-free alternative to self tan in a dry oil form...I love this as it gives just a subtle golden tone to my skin.
- One of the Hand Chemistry hand creams - I forget which one - it was OK but nothing special compared to other cheaper creams, and the tube didn't last very long.

^ Same with perfumes nowadays...
^ also if you go into a sephora they will give you up to 3 samples for every type (make-up/skincare/fragrance) and they let you return pretty much anything

So I have been using Olay total effects fragrance free and l' oreal eyecream, my skin seems to be doing better and not breaking out. Would love a better eyecream though. I hate Maybelline foundations ugh, I tried the superstay one people on youtube have been raving about, its horrible I only wore it to target and it looks a mess, I had the same issue with the fit me, the only drugstore foundations I like are covergirl outlast and L'Oreal infallible pro matte , I normally wear my estee lauder double wear but wanted something a bit lighter for quiet days at work. Going to try some retin A products soon.

yes!~ I never buy anything from SEphora usually lol. I go in & know which products i want & ask for as many samples as I can get. I've walked with over 6 before, all huge full samples of good shit that lasts. The Dr.Brant microdermabrasion stuff is Amazing! I had ppl tell me how much better my complexion looked after a few uses of that stuff.
Didn't care much for the drunk elephant line, moisturizer was waaaay to greasy for me.

I'm so happy with The Ordinary! My skincare routine and diet were already on point, and i just started using TO's products, so it's too early to report results. But i have 100% trust in the brand and quality. And you cannot beat the prices! Only time will tell. I have an order from their parent company, DECEIM (?) on the way with some fun stuff... I'll report back on everything! IME, skincare really does take time... you sort of refine things as you go along, but unless your skincare routine and diet are crap, you aren't going to notice overnight results.
My order from TO:
Marine hyaluronics
100% marula oil
The buffet + copper peptides
Vitamin C suspension (23%?) + HA
True, or you can simply ask the girls in there, for a sample. For example, I wanted to try the Belif Aqua Bomb cream and I got a tester, but it wasn't enough for me (I managed to use it only 3 days) so I simply went back to Sephora and asked for a sample. They didn't have samples anymore, but the girl was nice and just filled me a small jar, that was enough for a 1 week use!
PS: I strongly believe that every damn company should have sample size or travel size products, for each category, especially the expensive stuff. That way we avoid spending a small fortune on products that may not be good for us... ugh!
I might try The Ordinary produtcs too... dunno what to say, I heard mixed oppinions about it (some say that the mix of ingredients aren't "strong" enough to be effective as other brands, such as Paula's Choice and also their packaging is not the most wise). I am usually a Paula's Choice fan and I really want to try something cheaper, but.. I guess I'll take it easy and try a few products first...

Some might be sickened by my method but I dgaf really lol. I am all about saving my $$$. I will soemtimes go to several different Sephoras in my area and grab the same sample from each place so I;m stocked for like a couple months tops. That way the product has enough time to work the way it should & i'll decide if i'm gonna purchase it or not.

I so love my airbrush makeup kit-but does anyone know if it's actually healthier for your skin? I put on a few pretty heavy coats, but I take it off almost every night and haven't broken out once since I've switched over. Thanks in advance![]()
