    Default Erotic Tahitian Dancing

Have any strippers tried this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CAGc0g8wggg
What I want to know is how does that thing around her hips stay on? I think an adaptation of this could add a money-maker to your routines. Of course it is work and takes training.
I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.

Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.

Well, I think it is erotic even though it is not called that directly.

It looks like a pretty neat hobby and sport, but I would not invest in something like that for a strip club, especially in this day and age. I don't think it is worth it for the club and a lot of customers probably won't know what it is or appreciate it, and I probably won't be compensated any differently for my time.

There are tons of threads here where not even pole dancing is not always necessary, which is true in a lot of cases.

Pole dancing is not as exciting as this is, at least to men, IMO.

Those swinging hips, then drop the top, and then drop the bottoms with just the 'shaker' skirt. Then drop the skirt, big smile, do a 360 and leave the stage for a few secs. Listen for applause. Then come back out nude for a floor show (just an idea).

Look at it from the guys' perspectives. Most guys have never see this and would be amazed at that hip action, and a few will actually be hard and want you. VIPs anyone?

It's hot. I love seeing women dancing and shaking their hips, etc.

However, like others mentioned unless the club and the patrons value a show and tip generously (like rain money) then it's not worth the effort to learn / do especially with similar erotic dancing styles like twerking.

Maybe, but does anyone know it won't? Better than fancy pole tricks.

I learned how to Tahitian dance when I was in Tahiti in 2000. It's takes a lot of cardio training to do those moves for even 3-5 minutes. Most of the students didn't make through the 1st 15 minute lesson. Most of the "popping" motion comes from the knees and feet, the rest is just moving the hips just like twerking. Her skirt is really just a pareo wrap tied around her waist. It stays on because of the kind of fabric plus sweat. If it were cold, I'm sure her skirt would fall off.

I hate to say it like this, but anyone can go to the club and flop around on stage and make plenty of money as long as a guy likes her enough.

I've seen girls once in a while come and they'd do some pretty nice sensual looking moves, like they obviously took some sort of dance and intricated that in their stage performance. Or they'd spend a lot of time on exotic looking costumes and makeup, but then they didn't make a lot of money to justify all that effort and time.

If a guy is going to think some other girls is hotter than her, he'll spend money on that one regardless if the other girl had some nice moves.

I've made more money than these girls before, and some other girls have made more money than me and they didn't have to do anything on stage.

It's still a nice looking hobby regardless. If I knew how to do it already, why not try it? But I wouldn't invest in it specifically for a club. I'd have to be compensated appropriately. With the kind of customers some clubs attract and earning potentials some clubs offer, it'd be laughable.

Also nice to see you Tourdefranzia!

OP, it sounds like the answer is nobody thinks it would be the money spinner that you think it will be.... maybe there is a cammgirl that offers this instead.

Most of us on SW would prefer to invest our time/energy into sales skills over specialized dancing and this is because the majority of our income comes through what comes out of our mouths rather than whats going on up on stage ...

.....I say this as a skilled stage performer- nothing to do with pole tricks and everything to do with the ability to generate an atmosphere through my performance).

This thread is starting to smell like someone is trying to educate me how to do my job; the one I've held since 05'. Appreciate being directed towards something that is sensational to watch but that doesn't mean it will convert into income in a gentlemens club.

OP, if this is such a phenomenal interest of yours, I say good on you for having such a broad knowledge & appreciation of other cultures' dance styles. Unfortunately, I believe you would be in a serious minority here, esp in areas where the customers can't be paid to give a shit abt what's going on onstage if they aren't getting a mouthful of T&A. Most clubs I have worked in, this wouldn't fly. It's hard enough getting compensated for all the things we already do as dancers, that customers find familiar & THINK they understand. Throw the majority of customers a foreign curveball like this, & it would likely go over like a fart in church, esp $$$-wise.

Hell, maybe you're onto smtg here, you forward-thinking trailblazer, you! But it would be one hell of an experiment, & one that requires sm intense investment. The dancer trying it out shouldn't be the one taking on all the risk, & it's a significant risk of both time & $$$. If you're so intent on seeing this ITC, maybe you should be the first to show sm real appreciation … by fronting the willing dancer of your choice the $$$$ required to learn this, invest in costumes & any other additional training, compensation for the time she would be taking out of her personal life to make it all happen, & then make it rain every time she does it onstage. Off you go then, go blaze that trail & let us

In any case it is only a stage show, a promo as it were. As usual, money pretty much comes after the stage show.

And it does look like a real workout, much like real dancing is.

It'd probably be a major cultural taboo, too. My best friend is a professional hula dancer on Guam (who also used to strip on the side) and from what I was able to gather over the years, some of those Kumus run insanely strict halaus and approach hula as more of a borderline-religious way of life than just an art form.

I'm in Hawaii and didn't answer because to a local person who dances this way, sexualizing the story told by the dance is very frowned on / very insulting to the dancer.
There's more to it but that's the nutshell.

( don't quote please as I'll edit location later )

SMH at how you feel the need to explain to girls who dance for a living what 'real dancing' is.

Mostly that's just exposing yourself, sometimes gracefully, which is nice. I don't see much real dancing though. An analogy is RAP "music" which is only rhythm and not a musical experience.

Broaden your horizons my friend. I doubt you've listened to every rap song to judge the whole genre of music. Plus there are several rappers on the Forbes list so ummmmm....millions of other paying fans would say otherwise.

But hey your preference though I'm not going to try to change your mind just seriously open your mind before making blanket statements.

Besides what does rap have to do with hula/Tahitian dancing?

And yes pole dancing is just as "real" as any other type dancing. In fact there are lots of ladies who compete in pole dancing as a sport. It's also versatile (unlike other forms of dance) it's sporty, erotic, and spiritual.
