Default Going back to dancing after a long time away

    Hey everyone

I use to dance when I was in my younger twenties for about 4 years then I stopped to work a regular office job. Now I am in my early thirities and without a job and thinking of getting back into the business. I haven't done it in so long and I have had a child since stopping and my body is not really how it use to be (will definitely need some new boobs when I can afford them).

Do you think I could have a chance in getting back into dancing since I have been away for so long? Should I even try or just let the idea go and try to find a job somewhere else? Do you think it's hard for women over a certain age to dance and make a good living from it?

please let me know what you think. Thanks

I have been retired for two years and miss it, one thing I would point out though is it was really difficult for me to get my first office job, and now that I have a solid resume that I put in the time making shit wage for, I wouldn't give it up to start all over again. No one can strip forever.

It would be fun to get back in it for extra cash! But think about your long term future. Use your job experience in the normal world and keep looking for a new day job. Maybe dance until you can find one, and keep a shift or two for fun and extra money.

Dancing is great quick money and lots of fun but very few have the hustle, along with work drive, financial sense, and physical fitness to be 'lifers' and fully retire after their dancing career ends. Don't lose sight of your future.

ALSO I bet you are still hot and don't need any surgical help unless you are doing it for yourself. Most of us are our own harshest critics! I know ladies who love their new boobies cuz they got em for the right reason. Also know ladies who got em just for work and now regret it. Also know plenty of dancers in their 30s and even 40s who are still going strong and look great. You just really need to have your head on straight to stay in the industry past 30, or you can end up really lost.

There are plenty of dancers in their 30s and even a few in their 40s. The top earner at my club is in her mid-30s. You'll be fine. You'll get back in the swing of the hustle after a few shifts, and you'll bring with you more life experience and conversation skills to make you more appealing to the high spenders. Just give it a try -- you can always stop and find a different job if you find it's not for you. Depending on where you are, the biggest transition for you will probably be dealing with how much dirtier it is and how less easily the money flows.

I began dancing due to financial reasons (like many of us) and thought that it would be temporary. Maybe a year or two at most.

I stayed much longer than I had planned but earned my four year degree, and bought another business (which didn't work out). Dancing gave me the opportunity to try different things that I wouldn't have been able to attempt otherwise.

The downside was that I started "drifting" after many years. I became unmotivated and was unable to view myself as anything other than a dancer.

After obtaining my degree (in an employable field) I couldn't find a job, even at entry level. Employers view self-employed people a little suspiciously imo. They want to look at a resume with a traceable work history.

You have that now. It is valuable. I mention this so that you don't play down the importance when making your decision.

Concerning age, we have a dancer at my club who is in her mid-fifties. She is beautiful, fit, glam, vibrant, and sweet to customers. She made a career out of dancing and still has a great attitude. She BANKS.

I hope this is helpful. Wishing you luck.
