Default Buying a new laptop for splitcamming

I'm looking into buying a new laptop as the one I have just doesn't have what it takes to do splitcamming. It wasn't expensive and was pretty basic but has done me well so far for camming. However I want to start working on 3 sites at a time if possible so I've read the thread about laptop specs and am looking into the toshiba satellite p70b10t laptop. It has the following specs:

    • intel® CoreTM i7-4720HQ processor 2.6Ghz
    • 2Tb (2000Gb) hard drive, 16Gb RAM
    • AMD RadeonTM R9 M265X Graphics (4GB GDDR5 dedicated memory) with AMD EnduroTM Technology
    • 43.9cm (17.3") , Toshiba TruBrite® Full HD TFT High Brightness display with LED backlighting, 16 : 9 aspect ratio
    • Windows 8.1 64-bit (pre-installed)

is there anything that doesn't look good on it? Thanks in advance x

Drool.... Upgrade to Win10 when you get it and tweak the settings (details in https://www.stripperweb.com/forum/sh...-on-Windows-10 ). Since you know what computer you want, next step would be to make sure your actual internet connection is awesome. You can have a great system, but if your connection can't handle it, it won't matter.

    Good luck split camming!

My current internet speed is 40mbps download and around 15mbps upload. Is that enough to splitcam?

IMO it sounds like it would be fine, but I haven't done live camming in a while (trying indy with no luck for several reasons). If no one else chimes in, you may want to PM someone from the splitcam thread https://www.stripperweb.com/forum/sh...=split+camming for their opinion.

Yes it would be enough, but spilt camming really takes up a lot of resources regardless of how power your machine is.

Then you might also want to invest in a second monitor. 17 inche might seem big now but to be able to really effectively split cam you need each site on its own screen or a big enough screen to have enough windows spread out so you can see your chat happening aall at once.
