Default Ladies, How Did You Find Your Photographer?

I'm looking into getting professional erotic pictures done. But I have no idea where to begin.
I know I want a female photographer but all the photographer's I've seen in my city only advertise wedding, events, portraits.
I'm not sure of where I can go for a good photographer for camming/naughty personal use. Event photographers might not have the studio space for the kind of pictures I want.

You need to do a search in your area. There's not a whole lot of female, erotic photographers out there. I know a couple in the LA area but they are going to charge a hefty fee.

Okay thanks for the advice. I'm looking to spend up to $500 for a set. I'm in the northeast area so Boston or NYC would be a possibility.
If it's more than that I might have to wait :/

It depends on the type of look and feel your'e going for. If you want a classy and artistic feel to your pictures I would recommend Scott Church. He is in Lebanon PA BUT his rates are very reasonable and affordable. In NYC there is Rick Cutrone, AMAZING photographer that has shot for a ton of glamour magazines. His style is what I would consider a little cookie cutter but still great. There is also Justin Price, he travels a lot so you might be able to catch him the north east.

Wow Scott Church's photos are beautiful. The places he's shot are incredible considering they involved public nudity. Thanks so much for the recommendations MissMoore

A resource that may be useful is the Kink Aware Professionals Directory https://ncsfreedom.org/key-programs/...gram-page.html. They have all sorts of services and professions that are supposed to be 'non-judgemental' and open to unconventional or sexually orientated people and jobs. Also, fetlife (although I don't know how active it is in your region) often has professionals into the fetish scene.

Also, Madam, how safe do you feel about finding photographers on FetLife? Most of the time they seem pretty sketchy (free? really? cos you just love your work that you do it on your off time too?) and I'm a bit wary of people who contact me on there. How would you go about it?

ivybunny, I would always look for photographers - or any other services - from Fetlife with some local history. Where I live, there are regular fetish events and shows and photographers that do the promotional materials (some have studios and portfolios). And this is probably a prime case of steering a mile away from free ones who claim to do it for the love of it.

Kenn Lichtenwalter out of NY is awesome. I shot for a couple of his art books and he was wonderful to work with. He shoots nudity in a beautiful, artistic way.

I found my photographer through instagram, doing a hashtag search and verified that they were legit by corresponding with the models he had worked with. Model mayhem is another resource for finding photographers, you can use filter searches for photographers that specialize in erotic, or "glamour" photos. If you talk to their previous clients, you can confirm that the photographer is a woman, and professional.

I've gotten gigs off of modelmayhem and onemodeplace. I did a Time for photos shoot recently with a female photographer who contacted me off of modelmayhem. I don't suggest using your real name on those sites.

If lets say you want to shoot erotic pics, where you want to shoot? Like hotel?who will do a makeup?
I know a good photographer in Philly. he use lights, which will make you look flawless on pics.

Yeah, I've heard of Model Mayhem but wasn't sure. My friend tried model Mayhem but gos scammed once when she was trying vanilla modelling. I'm not sure a hotel would have the right lighting. I would hope the photographer would have the studio space for it and help with coming up with ideas. I would probably do hair and makeup separately then head over to the photographers studio and just touch up when I get there.

I have taken some time to think about this before giving my advice. I do this both as a Cam Model and a Photographer. It is tricky in a way to find a photographer that you can trust to do your nudes, I too have gone the route of having profiles on ModelMayhem and Onemodelplace as a Model and was very put off by it. If you do decide to use those routes please for your own protection be sure that you will be able to take an escort with you. While I understand as a photographer you do not want a boyfriend or husband to get in the way of the shoot, a good photographer will know how to deal with that in a professional manner. Also something to consider, and probably the biggest thing is trust. I know of photographers who do the shoots and will even pay you but then will also put them on their studio account on sites like clips4sale. If you are okay with that and its an agreement then fine, but it could be done behind your back. Know that a good photographer will most likely ask you to sign a model release, this is standard for a professional photographer. I personally am lucky in that I can have my Husband do all of my photos, as we are a photography team. We have done nudes, as well as weddings, babies, senior pics and such, but doing artistic nudes is our passion. We are lucky enough to be able to provide two perspectives, and different angles. Being that I am a model that likes to give back, I would be willing to help Cam Models out with this. We are located in Florida, but love to travel. If any of you would like to have photos, or just want some help in picking a photographer please feel free to inbox me. Happy Camming!

You need to look up Boudoir photography. I have some of those done myself and it's classy and sexy. I'm sure you could go more risky of you wanted too and it wouldn't be a big issue. Also check Model Mayhem and search photographers in your area that way. A lot of times you can do TFP (time for print) and get your pictures that way for free. Model mayhem always has nude and sexy photographers there so I would try that. I use that site all the time, so just ask if you have any questions.

I've used Model Mayhem the last few years now and have never been scammed. You need to do your due diligence and check their page, their profile for comments, check to see if the models he's worked with have shared his images. A lot of "photographers" look like they use a cheap camera and the pictures look like something you could have done yourself. Skip those guys and skip guys with only nude models especially if it looks more perverted then it does professional and artistic. If you have an eye for quality work you will easily be able to spot the real deals from the guys just using the site as a tacky way to see hot girls.

I agree with the poster above. Modelmayhem is a good place to connect and it's free. Ask for the photos SAME DAY. Don't leave without photos. I personally NEVER paid for photos only did trade for time or I got paid. Read the contract you're signing before shooting with the photographer or they could sell your photos and they'll be used anywhere on the net. Never shoot erotic or nude for free.
If I pay a photographer for photos I would request to have my hair/make up professionally done at the least. As for camming, I'd use photos from your webcam or selfies. Copy Kim Kardashian's selfies etc. I've used "professional modeling photos" and some guys claim I don't look the same and the 'other girl' which is me, looks hotter. I'd invest in a good webcam/cell phone than pay for photos.

A hotel or apartment with natural light is fine for the photos. Some photographers came to my house with their own lights. The gig I landed with Playboy T.V. was from photos I took for free from a photographer I found on ModelMayhem and that's where Playboy found me for my gig.

    Good Luck!

Sooo Amazing! I have been having a real problem finding someone to do nude/Porn Videos and photos here in Spain. I mean there are tons of people shooting porn but I find these people are so lazy about getting things done and Im way to type A to deal with all that! I needed this website ModelMayham! Some how I didnt even know it existed but there are tons of photo/video people out here to sort through! Im so excited to start sending out emails and finding someone I can really work with.

Thank you OP for this Thread and thank you to all you lovely ladies who posted on here! Very helpful!

I think the easiest way would be to google for a boudoir photographer or photography in your area.

Please ladies do not be afraid to take this advice! It can even just be a girl friend you take with you but you can sort out 99% of the shitty people just by telling them in your first interactions that you always bring an escort with you! I have turned down hundreds of shoots in LA because as soon as I mentioned I was coming with an escort they started trying to talk me out of it! On the other hand I have worked with ALL the big porn companies in LA in one form or another and none of them blinked an eye when I showed up with an escort. In fact, the big companies now know who my escorts are and always put them to work moving lights or helping to set up equipment! This advice is golden!
