Default Bringing Your Cell Phone To Work

I have an Iphone 6 & don't want to bring it into the workplace mainly because of theft / or losing it. I don't mind getting a prepaid phone for work but then that means having 2 numbers which is confusing to my friends. I know you can do call forwarding for calls but I don't talk on the phone just text & they don't have an auto forwarding for text for AT&T Iphones as of yet. So what do you ladies do?

I bring my phonde to work and I keep it in my purse that stays with me at all times. It is a good idea to have a seperate phone number to use for your customers but your reason is you are afraid of it getting lost or stolen, you sound a little over worried. I assume you probably don't carry a purse with you to hold on to your phone - you should start carrying one at work and keep your phone with you that way if you are so worried about it.

An AT&T prepaid cell phone is $30 a month. If you don't mind a phone much uglier than your iPhone, I'd just do that and save the headache.

Why would all your friends need to have both phone numbers? Unless it's a select few like emergency contacts, etc. Just use that 2nd cheaper phone for customers.

I had a relatively cheap phone get stolen at work once, & it had all my contacts in it. I was so worried a customer or fellow dancer had nicked it & was sending my bf at the time inappropriate bs txts, until I saw my bf the nxt day it was making me positively nuts. So I get the worry of theft or damage. Just get a basic phone that's used only for work. All business, no random txting so if it does get into the wrong hands, they can't wreak too much havoc. Otherwise get a small purse to carry round & keep it in reach at all times, just like your $$$.

I bring my prepaid to work and also share it with regulars for extra $$$. I don't care much if my friends contact me on my prepaid or not, and I check my smartphone when I get home anyway.

Line Number#: I'd say no matter where you work keep your phone on a short leash.

Not just advice to Strippers, though they are the current audience (i am happy to say), but really for everyone.

1st Edit: One sec... gotta fix...

EDIT: Oops i forgot to take the nonsense out. I missed one line. I originally had a lot more but when i reread it it saw my errors. Really you aren't missing anything, read line Number 1#.

It's probably a good idea for everyone with a smartphone, especially those of us who go to clubs, to put a protection software on there

. I used one that if I lose the phone, I sent it a text message it begins flashing and beeping for about 15 minutes while it uploads all the data to the cloud. A secure cloud that only I can access.

And if it's not found in those 15 minutes it shuts down and if it's not found within another period of minutes ite turned the phone into a brick and makes it completely useless.

For me, the phone is worth money but the data is priceles

they blacklist the serial number of stolen phones now so they cannot be reactivated on a different carrier. Also there are things like apple care that is super cheap and covers any damage or theft with I think 2 replacement phones available...soooo...it's pretty rare for people to steal phones now. Since they can't be resold as easily as a few years ago. Just make sure to install find my iphone incase some dumb bitch gets smart and does swipe it. I've had my phone taken in the club by someone who thought it belonged to her friend, got it back just fine but the app to track it with gave me peace of mind. Another good idea is to just put your phone in your wallet or clutch that you carry around.

I keep a burner phone for work. People make fun of it but I wouldn't dream of bringing my expensive phone. I've seen the manager's iphone get nicked! Those jackals will take anything not nailed down.
