Default How much did you make your first night stripping?

I'm interested in stripping to supplement my income and pay for college. In the city I'm moving to (Boulder, CO), I was planning on having a day job, taking pole lessons for a few months and then auditioning (I want to get in at a nice club like the Diamond Cabaret, La Boheme, the Penthouse, etc. in Denver).

However, I was wondering, is it even necessary for me to take pole classes? Could I audition at a community gentlemen's club (above titty bar, lower than Diamond Cabaret) with absolutely no dance experience and make enough money each night to support myself?

Sm results from a search on 'pole classes necessary'

Pole classes will not teach you anything of what you need to be successful as a stripper. Save your $$$.

As for 'how much do you make????' Run a search on earnings for stripping. There are too many variables at play for any one (or dozen) girl's earnings to mean much to another on its own.

You do not need to ever touch the pole to make money as a stripper -- that's even more so the case in upscale gentlemen's clubs where the focus is on selling VIPs/CRs. So, audition at one of the nicer ones. If they don't take you, then work your way down. But don't let a lack of pole or dancing/stripping experience deter you from working somewhere good. Getting hired as a dancer isn't like getting hired at a regular job where you need experience -- it's mostly about whether or not the hiring manager likes your look since the hustle can be learned.

Personally though, if I were you, I wouldn't even wait until moving to Boulder. Are there any clubs near you right now? Why not start working at one of them and make some money to help your move?

And to answer the question in your subject -- I made $300 on my first shift. I made that consistently for a while, and now, 5 years later, I leave the club pissed when I only make $300. However, I've also worked in cities where that would be a good shift. So, long story short, earnings vary a lot based on the city, the club, and especially the dancer -- and even moreso when you factor in shifts, clientele, and regulars.

I think I made about $400 my first time ever dancing....but after quitting and going back I've had $200 first shifts and even $70 first shifts at different clubs. It really all depends on the club, you, your look, your mood and the clientele. It's impossible to predict. If you want to learn pole tricks, ask girls at your club to teach you...save your $ unless it's a hobby you want to get into seriously. Even then, girls at work can teach you the basics. Just watch and learn.

$400-$500 my first shift. It was on a Wednesday in July in a decent neighborhood club with no exclusive private rooms, only one lapdance room.

My first night I only stayed for a few hours because it was so slow and I made around 70. My first full (10 hour shift) I made 395 at a shitty club in an otherwise good city, left shortly after.

I made about $400 as well. I had NO idea what I was doing, but I kept smiling (I was a bit drunk, ha ha) and stayed my entire shift. I do remember that a couple of older girls made snide remarks about "dirty new girls making all the money," which was hilarious because I wouldn't have known how to give a dirty dance if my life depended on it!

My last "first shift" I think I made $800 or so on a Monday day shift after a 4 month break, and the day girls were hating so hard and saying I did extras, etc. Lol! Now they all know me better and they're cool with me but that was hilarious...I was not used to being a top earner and having haters.

I made $77 in the shitty dive I started in and continued to make $100-$200 until I got out of there. By researching and developing my hustle i've been able to consistently bring in wayyy more.

My very first audition/shift night I made $140 after tip outs.
$200 is a good money goal for a night in this shitty California city. And I envy the girls here who claim to make $500+ like please let me move in and work with you????!!!!

Oh, and don't waste money on pole classes. PLEASE. Most pole dancers don't even like strippers, and you will learn pole moves as you work at the club. And you know what? I don't do anything more than a few fireman spins. The majority of my stage is doing "floor work" and just posing sexy. What I'd say you need to do is work on stuff like the splits, learning how to pop your ass, and just watch a bunch of beginner pole dance and floor work routines on YouTube. Seriously, you don't need anything fancy to start.

Yup, and SMILE. Custys will forgive a lot (or not even notice) of awkwardness/mistakes when they see a pretty smile!

La boheme and diamond both don't have poles.

It is not at all necessary to take pole classes. Diamond Cabaret is one of the lucrative Denver clubs and they don't even have poles on their stages so pole classes would be a waste of money. Seriously, when you audition they're not going to require that you know how to work the pole, they are only going to be interesting in your looks and how you look on stage.

My first night I was a fish out of water and made like 80 bucks, maybe 75, hell maybe less. Within a month or so, I was a top earner at that club and now I make good money.

I know this an old thread but I had my first shift the other day and i only made about 10 bucks after a 6hour shift. The only reason i don't feel like a complete loser is because the club was dead basically all night until around 12. And after 12 only a few more customers came in but weren't spending. None of the girls made a lot of money so that's why i don't feel to bad about it. I noticed some girls didn't even have to tip out and left in the negative. This is a very popular club and another reason I wasn't to bumbed is because i noticed a lot of the top girls who work there had left to work other clubs. This is why i figured I could get hired here easier because i knew beforehand that they would be looking for girls.

So my question is should i stick it out with this club? Idk the reasons why a lot of the top earners have left. It seems a lot of them have left every club in the area and are all working this 1 club now. I watch these girls everyday on i.g and snap and it looks like there making tons of money at this other club. I did visit the club myself to see and personally i didn't see tons of money flowing but i did see a select group of girls making bank. so idk. My club is having a huge party tonight sum sort of reunion so a lot of old dancers will be returning to work this 1 night only.

Would it be smart to work tonight? I already kno the competition will be heavy with very seasoned dancers and i really don't have money for tipout or to buy another outfit. I am literally dead broke and really need sum money. I was hoping by working tonight since ik it will be packed my chances of earning atleast 100 bucks could be feasible. But i'm scared to spend the last money i have to work tonight and then not even make house fees:/ what's a girl to do?

Also how long can i expect to not make money? I kno i'm new and not as young as the other girls but i feel like i look good and can still hold my own against them. Is there a timeframe i should go by for looking into another club? I can't possibly go anywhere else right now because i can't afford to have another bio verify done. So i'm stuck with this club for awhile.

If you can't go anywhere else then you might as well go in and work tonight. You can't psych yourself out wondering if there will be money tonight or no money tonight. When it comes to dancing you just gotta make yourself go in and work. You will never know if its gonna be a good night or not until you're there. But the one thing that is 100% for sure, is that you will make $0 by staying home. You have to take the chance. You'll start making money soon enough even if it means you have to try out another club. Go in tonight with the goal of making at least enough for the bio verify for you to try out another club.

Also, the fact that you made tip out + $10 when other girls didn't even get their tip out proves that your bad money night was not due to you being a newbie but because the club was slow.

Most newbies make decent money even if their hustle skills are terrible because new girls have this fresh energy that custies pick up on. some girls will deliberately pretend to be new or move clubs in search of this newbie money. Its not because you're new. It was either just a bad night or a bad club.
