    Default 1.5 hour minimum appointments

Other threadside have previously suggested that one way to attract a better clientele is to avoid half hour appointments. Makes sense from my dancing experience: thone looking stretch every dollar they havery are, as a whole, not the most respectful nor gentlemanly. Looking at the indie escorts in the Ottawa area, many only offer minimum 1.5 (or even 2) hour appointments.

One escort in particular offers 1.5 for 500. At face value, this is something I am considering bc the average hourly rate is of high enders is 350, which is not a price I'm totally comfortable working for at the moment. At least with theach 1.5 rate, it's still works out to roughly that, but I'm more comfortable with the overall compensation. What I'm wondering though is, have any of you experimented going from offering 1 hour to 1.5 or 2 hour minimum bookings? Has this impacted your overall monthly income negatively or positively? Is there a difference (if any) with the type of customers you've attract since the change?

It'll be interesting to see the responses. I evolved from a hour client to multi-hour/90 minute client because I'm happier with a more leisurely atmosphere. At an hour its sort of possible, at 90 minutes it can be much more relaxing, over 90 minutes I really have had to have had a previous appointment so I know I'm not wanting to leave early. The clientele exist and, I think, are what you'd expect - higher income, less value seeking, and more respectful. The real question is will you still have enough business at 90 minute minimum. Is it too much of a strain to switch, see how it goes, and switch back if you find your income deceases too much?

Also, I think when traveling I see more 90 minute + minimum appointments. Almost booked a minimum 2 hour this morning and ultimately decided I didn't really have the time right now and I was a little concerned with the time commitment on a first visit.

Good luck with the change. Your rates seem to mirror Toronto, which I just visited.

Yeah, if you think about the reasoning behind it, it makes sense. The guys booking half hours are just looking for a sex doll to get them off. They don't "need" anything more than half an hour for that. I've learned recently that there are even girls who offer 15 minute appointments and something called car dates. For some girls this may be the ideal for them. Maybe they hate dealing with men & turn a higher profit stacking short appointments on their books. Longer appointments generally do get a bulk discount, so if you can fill your schedule with the shorter, higher priced appointments you'll earn more. Also, if you don't enjoy the company of the clients then you have the advantage of avoiding all displays of sentimentality.
On the other hand, the men who book longer appointments are usually looking for more than just sex to entertain them. They tend to enjoy the company of women more, and want to provide you with an enjoyable experience as well. They want to have more of a connection than just the physical. That means you need to be able to provide that for them. If you, not the OP specifically, but any escort, want to set a minimum booking time that's longer then you just have to make sure you have the desire and ability to entertain clients with conversation, games, bubble baths, massage, or whatever else they enjoy that makes them feel their money was well spent.
I really don't see the variations on sex work as better or worse. There are so many different desires out there that need to be fulfilled. As long as there's a market for something then whoever is profiting from it is a savvy businessperson. Same with the clients, as long as we aren't talking about non-consensual violence, then a half hour customer may be perfect for someone with certain priorities, but a nightmare for a girl who belongs in a multiple hour environment. For me those guys are a nightmare. I hate being pawed at. I love the long seduction. That's how I knew where my niche was. They aren't "bad clients", they're just not for my personality type.
