Default Tips for starting to get into shape?

What are some good "work your way up" type exercises to get into shape to do the amazing tricks you see on the amazing poles? (I seriously dig that gif I see in someone's signature that basically does the worm while she's on the pole xD). I know to start small/easy to work your way up, but I don't know where to even begin with the specific muscle work outs X_X

There's a whole section on here devoted to exercising and taking care of your body in general: https://www.stripperweb.com/forum/fo...-Body-Business Try browsing through there or running a search. Good luck!

Start with your core. Most pole tricks depend on a strong core. You can build up upper body strength and still look good on the pole, but if your core is weak there isn't much you'll be able to do on the pole.

YouTube is your best friend when it comes to learning pole tricks & the conditioning exercises to master them. Do a search on YouTube for 'pole dance conditioning exercises' or 'pole dance strength building'. Most of the exercises I have seen (not to mention done!) even if they are shown being done on the pole or using the pole as a base/balancing agent, can be improvised w/ other objects such as the foot of the bed, using a wall, etc.

Pole tricks look good, but I don't see them generating the big tips in the VIP.

As far as exercise goes. Running or swimming depending on what you have available. Running is ultra-cheap. All you really need is a reasonable pair of running shoes. Just about every other piece of wardrobe or equipment you already have in your dresser. Running, start easy. Jog/run/walk. Depending on your aerobic fitness level, you might just start with a 10 minute mile by jogging/walking/running. Add in some core work. Sit-ups, push-ups, bicycles, planks, bridges. I do 100 push-ups and 500 sit-ups every night. Those plus a fifteen minute core workout before dinner if BF is cooking. If I cook, I hit the gym over lunch.

When I first started working out, I downloaded Nike Training Club for iPhone -- it's a free app that's geared towards women and it's loaded with lots of various timed workouts with video examples.

I started a thread recently about how using a rebounder/mini trampoline for 20mins is the equivalent of a 1 hour run! just sayin!

Heres a quick stretch vid using search terms Aniela suggested; can't vouch for it as I didnt watch much of it.

I also recommend the primal blueprint fitness plan on Mark's Daily Apple.com
