Default Thursday Night Football ALERT & Sports in general

    Thursday, Oct 1st, 2015
    Raven's vs Steelers
    HUGE rivalry

Game begins at 8:30pm Eastern Time (takes about 3 hours)

I often find clueless models swearing a blue streak at their customers during big sporting events.
"Why are you guys not buying into my 30 minute show!?"
"Why isn't anyone talking to me tonight? Can you hear me?"
"If you don't say something I'm going to block you!"

Part of being a good 'business owner' is knowing what your customers needs are.
During the time guys are all glued to their TV waiting for the next play, they may be in our room, but they're not likely to take a show with us until half-time or a commercial break.

Ever notice how it will be dead for 15 minutes, then all of a sudden 5 guys swim into your group show, and then gone just as quickly? That's probably a break in the game they're watching.

This Sports Illistrated's schedule link is my work schedule Bible!
    http://www.si.com/nfl/schedule

Not only does it tell us what teams are playing within every sport, but more importantly, during the game it tells us what inning/quarter the game is in and the scores (if we want to work that into our Free Chat patter =) While working (or thinking about working) I use this link to watch when teams are in the final minutes of the game, then jump on. It means no guesswork at determining when it's bound to be busier on cam.

The schedule and it's scores will alert us to games going into OVERTIME which means NO ONE is leaving their TV until one of the teams wins. Overtime in big rival teams equates to our room being a tomb =p

As I've said many times, it's worthwhile working before, or after a big game like tomorrow night, but not during. I watch this site and I don't jump on cam until they're down to the game's final minutes .

Obviously, this isn't 100% effective, but timing your camming for before/after big games will increase your odds of being busier. This is simply another tool and strategy for using it.

One final trick, Google: Biggest NFL Rivalries (or NCAA, NBA or Hocky, whatever.... I have all of those noted) Then take note of when they're playing and put them on your work calendar for future reference.

    Best of luck!
(And, as a Northern Ohio girl, Go! Steelers =)

I work on football nights and do fine. There are guys/girls that actually don't watch football at all and there are non-Americans that don't watch our sports. I say work when you can and what is good for you. If I stayed away when I though it would be slow or there was a huge game, I would be poor.

I'm looking more at sporting fixtures and other external factors more these days. The World Cup has been a bit of a bitch with British traffic (and I imagine those from rugby-obsessed places). Last Saturday afternoon during England v Wales, it was frustratingly dead on Adultwork but afterwards, I had a few men come in happy after an evening of rugger viewing at the pub. So this Saturday afternoon, I'll be watching England v Australia at the pub (turns out well as I have some dental work planned for the morning) rather than pulling out my hair in front of the screen.

As I said, it's not 100%. Not every guy watches sports or has the same schedule.

Gotta say, I love the sensation of a 'feeding frenzy' when guys finally drop their remote control and grab their dick for a tug. LOL

When I'm camming, if the excitement isn't happening, if guys are lurking instead of taking me private, I have to sign-off. I don't have the nerves or energy to wait for a couple of $10 sessions per hour. Besides, on Streamate sitting in free chat for long stretches actually pulls our ratios/placement down. So if I'm not converting guys into paying shows, I sign-off and come back when it's busier.

So that's why I shared this info. I know there are other models who have realized there is a link to their room being dead and guys watching sports but didn't know what to do about it. The Sports Illustrated schedules may help those models work when they'll find guys more receptive to taking a paid session.

Tonight's game is a huge deal for my lil' sis and her son, because she is a Steelers fan while he is a Ravens fan. LOL. I have no interest in football at all, but last time I checked with them The Steelers were winning.

If you need to cam during ALL hours of the day and night, then go for it. But I'm just sharing what I've experienced myself (and I'm meticulous at keeping a spreadsheet tracking my work hours and earnings) After 7 years of camming, the numbers don't lie. In general guys are less receptive to our shows when their favorite games are on (and that's not ALL the time.... there are specific prime-time hours when games are most profitable, and believe me, sports are about profits for the teams AND the sponsors).

And think of this little bit o'common sense. Guys who have gone to one of these expensive colleges (generally) have more money to spend. When they've invested in a college, they've invested in their team, so they may be more likely to watch (and BET on) their team play on Saturday afternoon. That's a lot of guys (with MONEY), who may be distracted by TV from noon-midnight on Saturday's while NCAA football is on through the end of the year. For me, guys with money are my favorite audience =)

Disregard this information if it doesn't feel right (at your own risk of your nerves melting down due to lack of shows/earnings)
If you must work during big competitions, I've found the best way to ENCOURAGE shows:

#1 Avoid Gold Shows (Streamate), or whatever 'countdown' shows your site calls them. Guys watching a game are on TV are watching us too. Example: ESPN on the big screen, and us on their tablet or phone. When there is a commercial break, or half-time, they may pop-in to bust a quick nut with you. If you're 7 minutes out in your countdown, and the game is going resume in 4 minutes, then you've lost your window for earning money. BUT know this can also work to your advantage! If you're watching the scores on the SportsIllistrated site http://si.com, and you realize half time for 3 games has just begin, then RUN a quick 5 minute countdown on a 7min show so they can see your show before the game is back in play!!!!! I've seen models who've timed their shows like this hit $400 shows in 5 minutes by doing this. Woot!

If this concept is still not making sense...... When YOU'RE watching your favorite show on TV, and you have the urge to go to the bathroom, don't you try to wait for a commercial? Most people do. So do our guys. WE, on cam, are the commercial intermission entertainment. We may also be the 'urge' they need to take care of. Hee-hee!

I've had some of my best quick money during big game's half-time break, officially 20 minutes (today I made $32 in 10 minutes when I popped on cam when I saw that Purdue/Michigan State, Texas/TCU, Iowa/Wisconsin, and one other all going into half time (look at ANY televised sports schedule, they all have approximately 4 - 6 pairs of teams starting at the same time. That's a lot of guys who've gone to those schools (NCAA) or have a city allegiance (NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL) that are tied up during those 4-6 games being televised. The break happens, they pop into our room, then they go back to watching their game. I made so much in a short time because I had 3-4 guys in my room at all times for about 10 minutes straight (my data shows 11 guys in total visited me for a minute or more during the 15 minutes I was on; several staying 5min each, most were just a 1-2min pop-in to check-out the action)

#2 If your room is full of lurkers (who may be watching the game too) be sure to ask them to 'Favorite' you, or whatever your site calls it, so they can find you when they're no longer distracted, or when their wife/girlfriend/kids/parents are no longer at home =p At least you'll get SOMETHING out of sitting there pulling your hair out! =)

If you must work, and there's no way around it, then you've gotta do what you've gotta do. But if you can work when you choose too, and you want to make the most money possible when you do work, then I suggest you keep notes about your hours & earnings, and test out my theory.

RE: Sissy boys. I too thought mine didn't care about sports, but I had kind of a weird thing happen to my eBay auctions. Earlier this year I began selling specialty items to sissies & crossdressers on eBay. The word on eBay is that the best night to end your auction is on Sunday nights, between 9-11pm Eastern, so up until now that is when I've closed my auctions, and I've done REAL well with it.

But the past 3 Sunday night low sales totals have had me scratchin' my head. Why all of a sudden have Sunday night totals have been so much lower than the previous months of sales? Then it dawned on me! Sunday night football, the biggest NFL rivalries (8pm-11pm) are all on TV during my auctions ending. I don't have any 'proof' that my sissies were watching TV rather than sitting on the computer watching the countdown to my sexy items go to the highest bidder.

But after it's happened 3 weeks in a row, and I'm loosing $15-20 per item, I'm going to be moving my auction close from Sunday night to mid-day on Monday, to see if the bids return to their original prices. Until I can prove otherwise, I'm going to assume some of my sissies don't care about sports, but some do. And the ones that do have missed bidding on my Sunday night auctions. If I find Monday works better, you bet I'll take the trend seriously and change the way I do things, permanently. A business person has to follow the buying trends.
