itīs the distance. Basically no matter if your internet is the best, because of the physical distance between you and the server where the action is taking place (America), the RTT is the measure of the time your signal takes to go and come back to you, and this is basically limited by the speed of light and distance.
I woke up obsessed with RTT a few days ago and I read a lot about it trying to fix it. Gamers have problems with latency, ping, and RTT that you can tweak with some software, and some things you can check with you Internet Provider, but there is nothing you can do to improve the distance factor.
You can check more or less your ping time to the server running a tracert command if you're on windows, go to start --> run.... and write cmp on the line. then on the prompt, you write: TRACERT WWW.(site). I tried streamate and streamate models.com, then you'll see basically what hops and time your signal goes through before reaching them, ie first modem, router, isp servers, relay servers, Sm's servers, and then back to you. It's interesting info but like I said there's not mich you can do about it, except if you notice that thr bottleneck is in the first few hops of your route (which would mean that the problem is in your equipment or your ISP srttings.
Sorry for the rant, geek out.

Streamate is like a boyfriend that breaks your heart and then bring you flowers to make up. An absolute love-hate relationship.

Now excuse me, all I can think about right now is tea, so I'm going to make a brew.
