Default Skin, Diet, and Juggling Work/School Questions

    Hey everybody!

So, I'm fairly new to this website and have known for years that stripping would be the way for me, although, I haven't yet started. I've been close to auditioning before, but backed out the last minute due to insecurities re: skin, and having to juggle stripper and college life at the same time. I've officially gone broke and see stripping at the club as a more profitable/ faster way to obtain $$. However, I'm just nervous as hell about this, but know in my mind that I NEED to do this.

I've just cured my facial cystic acne with vitex, however, still have scars that can be easily covered with heavy makeup. Nonetheless, my main issue is scars on the buttocks area for having shaved there.. For those of you who've done electrolysis, how was your experience with it? Do you break out from it? How much have you dished for it? Another question I have is, do you think i could get away with this moderate scaring at the club? I could put foundation on it, but I feel that'd only exacerbate the problem....

For the students out there, how do you juggle these two?

Do you still eat whatever you want??

I would greatly appreciate any tips or input, as I am a real newbie and unfamiliar on how to cope in these regards.

I dont know anything about electrolysis, but i've used scar ointment on a few scars from mole removals that has helped significantly. Before they were literally huge indents in perfect circles, in a shade whiter than my skin, but now they're completely smooth and barely whiter than my skin. I used a brand I literally bought from the dollar store, haha.

I also have self harm scars on my hips and to this day (3 years of dancing) not a single person has ever noticed. The lighting in the club is very forgiving.

Makeup on your ass is gonna rub off and get all over customers within one dance. If you're worried, get a spray tan. It'll do a better job than makeup and stay on better.

For acne scars, try using AHA. you have to use it regularly, but within the last 6 months my moderate acne scars have completely disappeared. I use Paula's Choice Resist, but any AHA will work.

I am a full time college student and a dancer. The hardest part for me, personally, is sleep/wake times. I have class monday through thursday, and have to wake up at 9am, so I prefer to go to bed at midnight sunday-wednesday. I work thursday, friday, and saturday nights till 2am. I used to work sunday day shift as well. I try to get home as fast as possible and go to bed soon after I get home. On sunday night, I take a hot bath, drink some tea and try to get sleepy so I can go to bed at midnight and return to my weekday early morning sleep schedule. If I stay up late sunday it makes monday morning impossible.

Time management is VERY important for balancing both school and work. I have a pretty strict schedule each day. I have to designate times to study so that it doesn't get pushed to the wayside. Because I only work to make school possible, school is my main priority. Im in class from morning till 4pm, and then study until 7 to 10pm depending on how much I have to get done. Then I relax or spend time with friends. Sundays are my errand days because I have neither school nor work, I try to get everything done for the week; groceries, bills, cleaning the house. Sunday nights I try to spend with friends. Honestly though, my social life is pretty minimal. I don't have time to spend with friends like I used to. But its going to be worth it when I graduate debt free and with 10k in savings. I dont plan on living in this city forever anyway, so I prioritize long-term friendships with people far away who I want to be in my life forever. Plus long distance friendships are more flexible, i can text them while i study or call them while i'm driving.

My first 5 months of dancing were brutal; i was exhausted. Have realistic goals, keep your expenses minimal so you dont have to work as often. Your body needs time to adjust to the demands. I took hot baths after every shift which helped A LOT. It took me a while to be able to work 3 days in a row.

Do you know how to use the search function? Click on "advanced search" in the top right corner under the search bar. Then click on the "Search single content type" tab. From there you can search directly within body business for more info about scars, diet, etc. I promise there's a million posts about everything.

It sounds like you have post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. I agree with the above suggestion of an AHA, and I also love Paula's Choice. I have a refer-a-friend link that gives you $10 off your first order if you want to try an AHA from them: https://goo.gl/T9Ibkg

I've never done electrolosis, but I've heard positive things about it. Makeup isn't a good option for your body, IMO. If you're insecure about the pigmentation issues, I would try a self-tanner for the time being. Clinique's tanner is moderate in terms of color and doesn't have ingredients known for inflaming sensitive skin. If you're still experiencing breakouts on your butt, there are a few options. PanOxyl is a benzoyl peroxide wash known for being good at treating body breakouts. However it will bleach out any tanner you put on rather quickly. It will also bleach your sheets and clothes that you wear immediately after washing with it. (I just used white sheets and old clothes to sleep in.) Tea tree oil is a good option, but it's stinky and too harsh on some people's skin. You can dilute it with a carrier oil, but diluting it with water won't work. African Black Soap has been great for me, but some find it too drying. A BHA would help treat active breakouts as well. Paula's Choice has many options, but for large areas, I use cheaper options like the Walgreens brand BHA wipes with 2% salicylic acid.
