Default would you dance in loubitons?

This girl at my work dances in loubitons. I guess she is trying to make herself look more expensive....but it just seems ridiculous to me. I wouldn't want to ruin a beautiful pair of shoes like that in a strip club. I actually feel the opposite of a lot of girls. They all bring their nice clothing/bags to work, but I feel like I don't want to bring that stuff to the club bc I don't want to risk anyone stealing it. I like this girl I'm not hating on her, maybe it's better to look more expensive?

i wouldn't want to either no i sometimes dance in my victoria secrets bra but its because it looks really good under the lights, honestly though if shes wearing them to look expensive i wouldn't say it would work, i don't know many men who would recognise its a expensive shoe

No … bc a) that's an extremely pricey pair of shoes that's not meant for the rigours of dancing, &
    B) that's an extremely pricey pair of shoes that's not meant for the rigours of dancing.

'Real' stripper shoes are built the way they are for a reason. They are designed not just to deliver the glamourous illusions of hgt, slimness, etc … but to be actually danced- & run-round-in for long shifts. They are meant to handle hrs of pole tricks, getting smacked around on various unforgiving surfaces, & all the other abuse we heap on them.

IMO the girls who flaunt their high-end purses/shoes/etc aren't abt looking expensive so much as they are looking for attention. Wealth whispers, after all.

That girl is asking for a world of foot problems. We wear dancer heels because they are solid and stable, mold to your feet, and are tall without having a ridiculous arch.

95% of customers aren't going to notice or care about expensive shoes- and I certainly wouldn't bring anything nice to work that I didn't lock up. I"m there to make money, not show off my civilian clothes.

    Yes^^!
Honestly, having bought recently & just breaking in my stripper shoes, I look closely @ many upscale shoe/boots..and..they're made poorly w/expensive materials! The soles are super thin, no support, super high arch, & w/Loubies that pointy ass toe is a no.
I've actually read about some women foot surgeon that performs 'ops' to make the woman's foot, fit the SHOE
Can you say the tail wags the dog?
Sorry off on a tangent here but hell no. Her feet gotta be screaming well before the end of the night, & yea she'll end up paying some foot dr's vacay home off.
Anyway, T/J here, but I'm going to post about my civie boots in Body biz, pls give me feedbk, thanks!

No I would not. Those shoes look uncomfortable I can only imagine walking around for an entire shift. Her toes prob look like mangled Vienna sausages afterwards.

Unless a dude has foot fetish, the men are not looking at your shoes like "hey guys do you think sparkle has prada shoes or pleasers? Cause I can only spend money on a dancer with expensive shoes". My experience is they are not that detail oriented.

Now I do think if you want to look like a rich stripper to give them the idea that you earn money and they need to spend money on you but this can be done through your accessories and clothing. When I see dancers change outfits multiple times throughout the night and their outfits are the fancy stripper kind with the rhinestones and what not THATS what signals to me a dancer that commands money and you see it in her clothing.

If i wanted to wear expensive shoes I'd buy a few pairs of the most expensive pleasers

But anything super expensive i would not wear to the club to work cause I wouldn't want it to get damaged, lost, or stolen

Not too mention the platform on stripper shoes stops people standing on your toes!!!

I was thinking about this the other day, as we have a girl who also dances in Loubies, but hers are ancient and totally beat up now. In my eyes this says 2 things, she wants people to think she has money and can afford them, but what it really says is that she isn't wealthy any more, because if she was she would have a new pair not a beat up old pair!

Most men probably wouldn't even notice, my bf didn't even know what a Louboutin was, I had to explain it to him, I think it's more of a girl thing to notice them. I get compliments on my £10 Primark underwear - 'ooh that looks like it was expensive' hahaha!

I would not dance in civilian heels, they're not meant for that and would kill your feet after a shift.

Them being louboutins means nothing except that she wants the other girls to look at her, and that's she stupid enough to waste $700+ on a pair of shoes, especially if she's then going to destroy them by dancing in them.

That girl is gonna break a foot.

I have a few pair of LB and all of them are uncomfortable after an hour or so. I also have a pair of platform ones, most uncomfortable shoe ever. Those shoes are meant to sit on your ass and look pretty.

Let her bust her ass and learn a lesson. Even if the shoe was comfy, why damage them at work? So dumb.

Is she a n00b? It could be she doesn't know any better. We all had our church shoes and TJ Maxx bra and panty days.

I had a pair of normal heels I used to love to wear at work and they got busted up and ugly after maybe 3 shifts. She's gonna ruin those heels & her feet for sure.

Hell nah!!! Loubs and other fancy shoes should be for going out on a date or for special events. They are made to be seen in, not for dancing in. Why would you want to ruin a pair of expensive shoes??

No fucking way. I once danced at a club in my hometown on a visit back from school, didn't want to bring stripper shoes into my parents' house so I just wore a nice pair of Micheal Kors pumps (which I had worn out regular club dancing before a few times and around town on various outings--they were my most tried, true and comfy "civvie" heels). What a big mistake. I had a blister within 2 hours of starting and had to borrow a pair of regular stripper shoes from the lost and found! I think this girl is pretty dumb to be honest. I mean, I wouldn't even BUY a pair of louboutins. Or let anyone else waste their $$$ on what is now marketed as "luxury" products for that matter with the exception of maybe a nice handbag, wallet, or simple jewellry, a fur or down coat (sry peta advocates, it's -30 here for most of the winter, so this is a practicality thing) things that you keep literally your whole life. Most of the high end products suck and luxury is not what it used to be in fashion quality wise AT ALL, even though the prices are still insane. Plus you're going to hit 30 or 35 (or in my case, 25) and just be like NO to heels in general unless the deal includes at least a few hundred+ in cash :p

Dancing in louboutins would be impractical and expensive. Shoes get beat up quickly when you're doing something physically active.

OMG, hell no! I have the worst time walking around the casinos in vegas in my lubes, they hurt like hell and half the time I need someone to carry me by the end of our time, I only did this twice in different pairs thinking the others were made better but nope, there all just too high of an arch and are not made for all that walking, there made for short walks and sitting dates, plus the red on the bottom wears off if you don't have a protector and that sucks, your 1400$ pair of shoes loose at least 500$ value in 1 night like that, this girl is insane even tho I do get what she's trying to do and its a good thought process but its just 2 much and Im sure the rewards do not equal the pain/$ it costs her. I do just fine in my clear heels

Oh HELL NO! Considering how beat up my black Pleasers get after a few nights dancing (mostly just scuffed), there's no way I'd wear $1000+ fancy shoes to the club! Talk about money down the drain!

If a chick wants to 'Loubiton it up' ITC … why not just 'ghetto-rig' sm quality stripper shoes? Are those red soles copyrighted? If not, then all you need is a few coats of heavy-duty red paint & a steady hand on the bottoms of a pair of black Pleasers.

Sounds like she has a severe, possibly fatal, case of that stripper disease where you just dance to afford your "expensive stripper accessories" habit. I'm trying not to judge because I definitely have a few pairs of $70 work bras... but I think the Loubs are pretty overkill.

^^^^ well, are those $70 work bras a decent investment for work? If they are, I think that therein lies the difference. Not to mention it's $70-ish vs $700-ish for a pair of shoes that was nvr intended to be danced in.

This is why there is such stereotype about strippers being dumb: because of women like the one OP mentions.

Loubitons are insanely priced for no reason. IMO, they're the kind of thing a newly rich person would wear just to show off their wealth. There are much cheaper brands out there that look just as good.

I've known a handful of girls that do but these girls don't dance. They only go to rooms so I guess that is their reasoning. I still think it's crazy. They are the most painful shoes in the world!

Honestly, she should just paint the soles of some pleasers red if it means that much to her. It's super easy and she won't damage a perfectly good pair of normal heels. There's tutorials for it on youtube
