Default not sure if I should be freaked out or not

I haven't posted here in a while. Been working at the club for a few weeks now and I seem to be doing well. I'm by no means the star of the club but I do okay.

This is going to sound like something on the life time channel but it really happened last night.

There is this one guy who seems to like me. He's been in the club a few times and he always watches me Never says a word and till last night never tipped me. Im sure every club has those quiet creepy guys like this but last night he tipped me twice, once right after going topless, and a second time after going full nude. Didn't say a word, just slipped the bill into my garter and sat back down. I smiled at him, thanked him and all that and went on with my dance. Then after my set was finished I picked up the bills on the stage and my discarded clothes and looked at the money in my garter. He tipped me with 2 $100 bills. I was about to freak out when I saw it. And he was gone from the club too so I couldn't thank him personally. None of the other dancers seemed to notice but I've come to trust the club owner/head hostess so I went to her and asked what I should do. She let me keep the bills, but said it was rather unusual though not completely unheard of. I mean on the one hand hey $200 but on the other holy shit is this guy like after me or something? Nothing else happened that night of major note but I was kinda scared to go to my car alone so I got the bouncer who I've befriended to escort me (tank of a man, also gay though that's not really relevant). I work again tomorrow night. Am I freaking over nothing? Should I just be happy with the big pay off I got last night? Has anything like this happened to anyone else here?

There's no reason to freak out over this and absolutely no reason to ask your manager if you can keep the money you were tipped with. It's not like the customer handed you a stack of ones with a hundred hidden in there where maaaaaaybe it was an accident -- even then, I still wouldn't go to management about it. You're lucky the manager wasn't shady and said they would take the bills in case the customer came back asking for them or whatever excuse to take them.

Look, many customers are kind of weird. That's sort of par for the course in a strip club. It's not unusual to have a customer that is painfully shy, who will avoid talking to you but will just stare at you. It's also not unusual to have customers who just sit and watch, never tipping at all -- be happy this one finally did! But there is absolutely nothing unusual about a customer giving money to a dancer! That's the whole point of the club. Some dudes will spend $200 on dances while others will do it on stage. Don't go around expecting $200 stage shows, but when it happens, just go with it.

As it stands, you have never even spoken to this guy, yes? All he knows about you is maybe your stage name and that you work in that club. He can't hunt you down and hack you to pieces with that information. It's definitely good practice to have the bouncer walk you to your care and the other safety advice here: https://www.stripperweb.com/forum/sh...ps-For-Newbies but if you freak out about every customer who does something a little weird, you're going to be in for quite the ride as a dancer! If I were you and I saw him again, I would absolutely go up to this customer and start to hustle him. He's clearly got money that he's willing to spend, and if you don't get to it, someone else will. Just be safe and smart about it -- don't make promises you can't keep, don't share personal info, etc., etc. Happy hustling!

thanks you're right Im new at this so I guess I'm a bit jumpy. I really do enjoy this job. I only approached the manager because she has shown me I can trust her. I will try to be more careful about such things in the future though. guess I wasn't really thinking level last night.

yeah, DON'T ask management or the bartender whether or not you should keep money anymore, that's your money that you earned. its also not that unusual to have customers tip that much onstage if they really like you, so dont get freaked out lol. next time he's in, approach him and thank him and maybe you'll get some more. i see absolutely 0 reason to be afraid of freaked out right now

2nd-ing all th advice already given, but I want to emphasise: Do not to round again asking club staff 'if you can keep **your** money. Ever.

    - He handed it directly to you. Once it's in your hot little hand, it is yours. Besides, if he left right/soon after, or at least b4 you could go back to him … seriously, whatcha gonna do?
    |
-------> this goes equally for any wanker that 'mistakenly' 'tips you too much' or has the nerve to ask for change. Seriously, these freaks exist. Once you're holding it, you're keeping it & they can go to hell. Don't EVER be shy abt standing up for yourself when it comes to keeping $$$ that you earned.

    - as stated already, you're damn lucky that staff member didn't try to take advantage of you. There is that risk <--- but you also don't want to EVER be open abt your earnings, to anyone ITC. Even if you mean it innocently (i.e. not bragging), it invites jealousy which can get you a very dodgy reputation &/or targeted for theft.

    - leave the paranoia at the door. As Shanna pointed out (& as long as you keep your private info to yourself), no customer knows anything abt you but that you work at XYZ Club & possibly your stage name. Oh, & they know you look really hot on stage Just like your earnings info, keep anything 'traceable' abt you quiet from every1 at work & you should be just fine.

    ^ Definitely !
Sometimes customers can be mellow and generous ! You got one that night!
If you have safety worries, just take the normal precautions ... Bouncer walks you to your car ect.

Like others have said, I'd be friendly but don't overshare ( this means earnings !) with club staff .

Yep, just go with it, weird guys are part of the job.

Like Aniela said, DO NOT EVER ASK if you can keep money. It was given to you. Even if it had been a mistake, I'd say "Too bad, so sad" and prance away. Once it is out of the custie's hand and in yours/your costume/on your stage, it is YOURS.
90% of club staff will turn on you in an instant if they think they can make an extra buck telling you some bullshit, so don't discuss $$ with them if you don't want anyone scheming a way to get it out of you.

I don't think you should be worried. It might have been a mistake or might not.Dont ask people you work with if you should keep money or not.If he makes you so nervous go and talk to him next time he is in the club, just to see if he comes off as a weirdo or not.I think over thinking his presence will only make you insecure and lose money.
