I had Juvederm Ultra Plus injected into my lips 10 days ago, one syringe. I researched thoroughly and chose a five star top facial plastic surgeon whose result gallery is beautiful.
Right after the injections I had very uneven swelling which he told me was normal. However my left half of my upper lip is a bit bigger than the rest of my mouth still. On top of that I have 3 lumps, two of them quite noticable since they're right where my lip meets my teeth. He told me the day I got them done not to massage my lips at all so I didn't. Then when I emailed him and asked about the lumps, he told me massaging them gently is fine. He told me the lumps should soften on their own and the swelling should go down and not to judge results until the 2 week mark. *But* I have also been reading that the lumps can only be fixed within the first 2 weeks without injecting the enzyme (which I've heard is horrible). Maybe I'm being paranoid but I don't trust that he's right about the lumps going away magically in the next few days. My top lip literally looks somewhat lopsided when my mouth is open.
I don't know what to do. Should I contact another surgeon for a second opinion? Has anyone else on here had lumps this far out? I'm very worried that this was a mistake
Edit: didn't mean to put the logo in the title lol oops
