    Travel Freaking out/Juvederm

I had Juvederm Ultra Plus injected into my lips 10 days ago, one syringe. I researched thoroughly and chose a five star top facial plastic surgeon whose result gallery is beautiful.

Right after the injections I had very uneven swelling which he told me was normal. However my left half of my upper lip is a bit bigger than the rest of my mouth still. On top of that I have 3 lumps, two of them quite noticable since they're right where my lip meets my teeth. He told me the day I got them done not to massage my lips at all so I didn't. Then when I emailed him and asked about the lumps, he told me massaging them gently is fine. He told me the lumps should soften on their own and the swelling should go down and not to judge results until the 2 week mark. *But* I have also been reading that the lumps can only be fixed within the first 2 weeks without injecting the enzyme (which I've heard is horrible). Maybe I'm being paranoid but I don't trust that he's right about the lumps going away magically in the next few days. My top lip literally looks somewhat lopsided when my mouth is open.

I don't know what to do. Should I contact another surgeon for a second opinion? Has anyone else on here had lumps this far out? I'm very worried that this was a mistake

Edit: didn't mean to put the logo in the title lol oops

I honestly think that at ten days how they look is how they're gonna look. My lips always look the way they're gonna look by nightfall on the day I get them injected. The last doctor who did mine said they can take a couple weeks to settle too and I was like 'Yeah whatever,' because I have never seen that to be the case.

My gut is telling me they're done healing which is why I'm freaking out. I have no idea what to do as the enzyme is supposed to be way painful

Is the enzyme you're talking about hyaluronidase? What they inject to dissolve filler? I've never had it done but I've never heard it's painful or anything.

Yes that's the enzyme, a friend of mine had it and said it was ten times more painful than the injections. But maybe that's just her individual experience

I had big swollen marble lumps in my bottom lip and after about 3 weeks they went away. Totally freaked me out, but sometimes it takes longer to heal.

Reading this gives me some hope at least. Maybe I'm being impatient...I hope :/

^I've had this injected to dissolve a lump and it's honestly no worse than getting the actual fillers IMO. Ask for numbing cream or a block in advance if you are worried.
