I actually cannot with this. I went to the site and watched the first minute of one of the episodes. She accepts some job posting from a random cam custy in free chat. WHAT. THE. FUCK. Was not one ounce of research done for this???
ETA: Its a web series. I didn't realise that. At least its not on mainstream TV. Still. Acting is bad, so is everything else. Urgh.

The trailer made me want to vomit.
Extremely difficulty trying to find research for camming on youtube.

"Just what we need..." another bullshit video about camgirls, made by people who have never been in the sex industry.
Check Out My Site: Zara Sutra
Always glad for repulsive documentaries that makes someone think twice about jumping into sex work. Let's face it, our work would not be so viable if it was constantly glamourised and given the ok. Let newbies be as horrified as possible! 😈![]()
OH MY FUCK WHAT IS THIS FILTH.
Why are they trying to make our profession look like one tree hill?

I must be lame but I like it so far.
Yes the acting could be better and it seems totally fake and unrealistic but it reminds me of the sexy Cinemax movies. You know they're not really f*cking like in the xxx movies but it's a good substitute if you're bored. Maybe I'm bored tonight lol!
Well off to watch the other episodes. And I'm prepared to be disillusioned.
*just noticed an actress in the second webisode. The chubby one who also played in nip/tuck where she played a masochist who wanted to be dominated by vain dr. Troy who f*cks her but only with a paper bag on her face
“Cook for him like a housewife, fuck him good like a nympho….pay the rent and the car note, he invests in me like crypto”

welp.. I figured that I should at least check it out before posting anything. When I went to the actual webisodes- they were all so short, I decided to watch all 7 of them before I gave my opinion on it. It's literally like a soap opera-ish show that isn't really even about camming as much as that's just what gives the show the "edge" factor. There were definitely some parts that made me roll my eyes and scoff.. like when one of the reasons given for camming was "I'm a single mother with a GED." Please, spare me.
Also.. the main girl finds out about some job from this complete stranger, walks into an interview and instead of an interview is told "Please, this is an entry level job and you have a masters.. here's your desk." IF only this happened in RL! She should have been told she was over qualified and then she could have gone home and cried about the fact that her masters degree isn't all rainbows and butterflies like everyone told her it should be, gotten a shitty job that made her a slave to corporate America, and after realizing how shitty and awful it was, found out about the wild world of camming and because of her kickass brain (no thanks to her overpriced masters), she was able to be one suave mothafuckin' business woman and VOILA! Camgirl... but I digress.
The acting is pretty awful- but there were some parts of the show that made me laugh, and it wasn't horrible or misrepresenting camming to the point of me wanting to scream and rip my hair out.. or use my dildos as weapons and break my computer. (Like so many of the documentaries do) Really, it just made camming seem like some fairytale land where single moms and struggling out of work teachers can go and make millions of dollars and live in a mansion as long as they "Have a webcam, a computer, and a little bit of rhythm." (Yes that's a direct quote *insert eye roll here*) It's as simple as taking a couple pictures, setting up a site and then logging on and BOOM! Dudes in your room who will pay you. Not to mention that one of the cam girls has some creepy stalker guy who has somehow gotten her real phone number and knows what street she lives on, but the closest she gets to freaking out is telling him "You can talk to me anytime ON MY SITE, but keep it up and I'll ban you!"
Also.. there's a married couple where the husband is secretly recording the best friend of his wife getting undressed while he jerks off to it. When the wife finds out, they completely gloss over the whole situation like he's some poor soul who is addicted to porn and it isn't completely fucked up and a HUGE, ILLEGAL invasion of privacy to secretly record someone and post it all over the internet. What in the actual fuck.
All in all,
Do I think it's a show worth continuing to watch? .....ummm...no
Do I think that because of this there will be a ton of new "cam girls" popping up with a webcam, a little bit of rhythm and a dream? .... probably...at least for a month or two until they realize that it's not at all what they expected
Definitely not something that's worth getting upset over in any regard. It's all just such a silly melodramatic show that it's honestly hard to take any of it seriously.
and that is my review. you know... since I know you all were dying to read the novel I just wrote about it

As if the reality show for truck strippers wasn't enough, it gets worse! Show me a woman who looks that relaxed after being on cam for an hour in a corset, have to run two fans in a bustier! Why does this also remind me of Sex in the City? The acting is horrible, they treat camming shameful referring cam girl as it, dancing like morons in a living room and making bank..sounds legit! Couldn't make it through the first episode.

I would be all for a show that showcases the reality of the job. The different women who do it, the struggles, the years it takes to start comfortably making good money, the $0 days, the tech struggles, the sometimes late bills, the site issues...and then weaves it together with real life. If someone created a show like that I would be down, because people wouldn't flock to it because it would be seen as something hard, which it really is.
Hmmm...maybe that's my retirement plan haha.
lol omg. this is ridiculous
Audri your gif is so good.
I tried to leave a msc to this tread like twice..
i even thought maybe we should have a podcast..but i have all fancy mics and stuff, myself im not the best person to interview people.Maybe something like that could do Katy, she is a studio owner. She is a cammodel herself. She def knows..all + and -. She knows both: members and cammodels.
Im not sure if many people want to be famous for their camodeling thought.
My podcast idea such a great thing..thought.
1)we can talk about how to make money from camming
2)clips
3) i would love to listen some real promistress and her opinion and how to deal with many things.
4) realistic problems without glorification(online stalkers, trolls, bad day)
