Dizzy Is it still a MUST to have SM External Coding?

I'm starting back on here from a few years ago when External Coding was a big deal for placement but is it really that necessary anymore? Could I just use the HD quality on SM? I don't feel like shortening my memory on my Macbook just for SM.....

Yes. Once you restart your account, you'll be able to link to the encoder to download it as well as the recommended settings. They've been seriously increased recently to far beyond what you saw before and your placement will drop multiple pages without. SM is also working in beta testing (many girls are testing it now as I type this) on their own personal encoder called SMBroadcast.

No avoiding it. If you dislike FMLE, try Open Broadcast Software (OBS) as it's far less CPU intensive.

Thanks I just downloaded OBS. Where do I go about from here? It says different sites where to stream from but not Streammate....

For OBS, go into OBS > Preferences > Stream, there you will see boxes for URL and for Stream Key.

Then from Streamate when you start your show, click on Quality > External Encoding. A little pop up box will appear, where you can click to copy the FMS URL and the STREAM password.

Copy those and paste them into the URL and Stream Key boxes!
