I always get really bad stomach pains from gas / bloating when I do a full shift at work - perhaps this is too much information but basically its not like actual farts, just trapped air similar to how I feel when I fly but much much worse. If i'm only at work for say 5 hours its ok, but by the end of an 8-hour shift i'm often in quite a lot of discomfort.
Does anyone else get this and/or know what causes it / what could prevent it? I think it is definitely worse if i dont get to eat anything during my shift, but then again, sometimes ill eat and it will make it worse. Eating mints definitely makes it worse, and i think sometimes gum does too.
Could it be all the moving around? It just seems weird that i always get it at work and hardly ever any other time.
