Default The Little Victories Bragging Thread

I looked but couldn't seem to find an appropriate thread for this topic, so I figured why not just start one. In an industry where it can be so easy to get sucked into the negative, or feel overwhelmed by our large goals, I thought it would be nice to have a place to brag about the little things. After all, it's the little things that add up to big things.

One little victory for me this week was finally turning a talker into a buyer. I made it my goal to get customers to spend even something on me instead of just instant banning time wasters (inspired by Sam38g's hustling advice on various threads). I finally got this guy into a show, twice. 89 seconds the first time and 102 seconds the second time. It's not much, but it feels like a win for me. Old me would have given up, new me tries different techniques to convert time wasters into sales.

My other little victory this week is that I've been in the zone ALL WEEK. I have put the hours in, and I am seeing it pay off little by little.

So I would really love to hear about your little victories, in camming and in life. What little wins have you had? Time to brag about the little things.

Getting my SO and I into bed on time! Sounds kinda silly but we still stay up for hours talking every night, and being able to start that early feels pretty big. It means I can get up and get camming earlier!

Also, camming today even though I felt awful. Normally I just sit around when I feel bad, today I still got some work done!

my victory is getting out of my own head today. once every few months i get depressed for no reason and just completely stop functioning. seriously i have watched about 25 hours of netflix in the last two days, today i woke up still feeling like not doing anything but i told myself to get the fuck over it....mind over matter. i have my new goal sheet made up and even tho im not totally ready to get my shit together i am making myself because lets face it these bills are not going to pay themselves

    Fantastic thread idea!

I have a really messed up sleep disorder (DSPD) that has been the absolute BANE of my existence for a decade now. I can only really treat it with seroquel, nothing else works long term... But seroquel took me like a year to adjust to not sleeping for 14+ hours at a time. So instead of getting no sleep or way too little, I was getting way too much.

The last month I finally figured out how to take my meds correctly (same time and same dose every night, with melatonin) and have been waking up at 7-8 AM and falling asleep at midnight every night. It's such an amazing change- I thought I woukd never figure out the proper treatment plan for my disorder and it made me so depressed, but now I have hope that I can be 'normal'.

How does this relate to camming? Now I can keep a decent schedule and don't have to work til 3 AM to make goal! I love it so much.

My victorie for today is taking a day off while succeeding in not worrying about work and stressing myself out on a free day (at least not as much as normally!) Need to do this more often, and leave work for what it is on my free day and really enjoy the moment instead of looking back/forward in distress.

Yasss to less burn out and a healthier more positive lifestyle, hope Ill learn to balance work/free time/energising moments (sport/yoga/meditation) even more in the future
I think I am heading in the right way
More workhoures doesnt equal more money when it wears me out to much

Working on giving less fucks too and letting go of perfectionism- hope Ill get a victory moments about that soon!

I got on during the day today! Also, I kept up my face despite receiving not-so-flattering news about a gig I applied for (in real time, and on cam to boot). Props, self, for getting so much better at bouncing back when stuff sucks!

I'm still having a bad time on cam for numerous reasons, but I just got this review: "Great show. Had to jump out quick before I spent my rent money." and it made me pretty happy. At least I know I'm doing my job well even if I'm in a slump.

I totally get the sleep schedule stuff. I have struggled with inconsistant sleep patterns my entire life. I simply cant go to bed at the same time and work the same time. Luckily I don't have children or a SO, which makes it easier to just get online when I am up. Instead of feeling like I missed a schedule, I work during the day. It is slower for me than at night, but I am building up a few day regulars here and there. I know that having a set schedule helps in cam world, but for me right now it's better to just take advantage of my energy when I have it, and sleep when I am tired.

I started a pretty strict diet and I haven't cheated yet, which is a little miracle for me since I have horrible willpower, mostly when it comes to food and homework, haha. I've lost 5 pounds in 4 days, weeeee!
I also dyed my own hair last night and I didn't skrew it up. Winning.

@Peachexo I suck at sticking to diets, so thats amazing congrats!

My little victory today was being in a show where he REALLY REALLY wanted raceplay - I won't say derogatory words. He tried for about 15 minutes to get me to say the N word and the whole time I'm thinking here we go, bad review coming up because I won't go against my principles. Well he not only gave me a 5 star review, he left me a positive comment as well. Hooray for sticking to my guns and having it pay off! Lots of girl are fine with it and I told him that, go find a model whose comfortable with it. He said "yeah but they aren't you" awwwwww.

Oh lawdy coming from a pack a day smoker how the heck are you doing it? I start to panic of more than 2 hours goes by without a nicotine fix. I feel like if you can go 7 days you can go a month, and if you can go a month the habit is kicked. But I'm psycho after 1 day. Congrats that is huge willpower!

Oh wait ,I quit cigarettes but not nicotine. Not yet.Sorry, I wasn`t clear enough.I`m taking nicotine from e-cig,low % e-liquid.I`m psycho without nicotine too ,I`ve been smoking for 18 years,1,5 packs a day.So yeah,it ain`t easy.Nicotine is my last problem. The rest of ingredients in a cigarette and the actual smoke are a harm for me ,having smoker bronchitis (the result of 18 years being a heavy smoker). For now I just use e-cig with low% nicotine and the plan is to go lower till 0% nicotine in time and eventually quit vaping too although vaping is not harmfull. But one at a time.I`m not strong enough to quit all at once.Even with vaping,I still got the withdrawal symptoms ,hands shaking, headaches, insomnia, the urge to light an actual cigarette, anger.Anger is the worst, going online with a face that says "I`m gonna cut you now, bastard" isnt`t best lol.So is not like e-cig will fix everything when you`ve been a heavy smoker,it still requires a lot of willpower, because you want to feel the damn smoke.I loved smoking,I would light a cig right now, coffee doesn`t taste the same anymore. But nope,I`ll stick with this because it`s what I gotta do.

But to me is a success anyway even if nicotine is still there.

I used to smoke a pack a day then switched to vapors I started at the highest nicotine available and over the course of six months kept lowering it eventually used 0 nicotine but still vaped for about a month then one day ran out and just never bought it again it clearly took a while but it can be done it's been close to a year since I have even vaped and I still get cravings every now and then

Thanks, happy to see I inspired you. Last night I turned to haters into behaving & contributing to the convo in a more postive loving way.

Tweeted the day before asking my haters to be way more creative with their insults. Cause them posting the same insult day in & day out was boring the fuck out to me. They actually listened & upped their game. Figured if they are going to devote hours of reading my tweets & di-secting everything I say on cam & in videos they might as well keep me entertained with their hate. Surely, this hate is a full time job for them & thus my most devoted fans.

Considering I am way past them affecting my mood, making money on cam and moved onto being amused by their attempts trying to upset me or fuck up my money. Hell, their hate & how I handle them on cam helps me bank off of other men.

Just get bored & ban them when they keep posting the same thing over & over again. But since they upped their games last night & got more creative, only proves how much they love me & willingness to jump through my hoops to please me. Eventually, I will turn them around into being spenders & happier people.

    Smooches,
    Sam

And this is how you become great at computers, learning the hard way. EVERYTHING I've learned with computers, editing, filming has taken me hours of research, youtube videos & then countless hours of trial & error to get it right. Stuff that takes minutes now & should when I first tried to do it, takes hours for me. But now have accepted that is my learning curve/process.

Congrats, this is how you get new regulars. Cam sites want & love performers who can convert to a die-hard I will never spend money on porn into a 1st time sale. Once they actually do it even for a little bit they get more & more used to it & being rewarded with the cam girl giving them more instead of disdain for their begging.
This isn't a little victory but a major one! Now, instead of getting frustrated by those types which can hurt your over all money, you just smile & keep on trying to sell them. A great sales person NEVER takes NO for an answer.

Thank you for the feedback and encouragement. I have an insanely slow learning curve myself. It takes me 4 times as long to figure something out but once I get it, I'll be the only one who remembers 5 years down the road every detail of whatever it is I needed to learn. It's pretty insanely encouraging to know you have the same issue. You are like the Jillian Micheal's mentor of camgirls. Tough love, but frigging necessary for change and improvement. Thanks lady!

My little victory is that I've been hitting all my earning goals and the hard work I'm putting into my new MFC profile is paying off. Today I managed to bump my camscore up past 4500, which gives me a lot of confidence in my own ability to succeed.

Yesterday, I got up early, took care of my morning errands, meditated, had a successful work shift, ran more errands, worked out, ate something fairly healthy for dinner, and had an amazing night of sleep. Sometimes just accomplishing all the little standard adult things is a fucking victory onto itself.

Round two today--let's see if I can keep it up.

So I did it, I took the plunge and doubled my premium chat rates. I get so annoyed with customers who don't respect my rules about c2c and fetish shows in exclusive only, and the 30 second peepers. I was nervous this would hurt my sales but if anything it helped. I more than doubled my goal last night, all exclusive shows and one dumbass trying to flash his cock on c2c for 46 seconds (and I made $2.10 for it). Idk if my exclusive rate is attractive now after the sticker shock of my premium rate or what, but I do love that I can just relax and focus on my show without being distracted by whoever else joings. Yay little victory for me!!!

I'm so happy for You! That is a 'victory', for sure. Every time I think that I'm missing out, and make my premium less than Excl. I'm so pissed off by the end of my shift!
The few bucks extra I make IF and when 2 or more guys stay, is so not worth the aggravation.
That notice on the dashboard when u go to raise it, that Premium should be less, is like.."go fuck yourself Streamate! YOU lower it, and see how it feels to cam like that!
